The sad thing is, because he's against recreational sex, he can't even come back with the "I'm going to go home and have sex with my wife!" line.

I_Am_Weasel: Lando Lincoln:
Now you've got a guy that believes carbon dioxide isn't bad for humans, because plants love carbon dioxide.

love carbon dioxide?

I thought they preferred electrolytes.

Maybe it all starts with Santorum.

I'll bet plants would actually like santorum (the substance, not the person)

Fuggin Bizzy: But ... uh ... the danger from CO2 in the atmosphere isn't suffocation. I'm not sure that would make the point you're looking for. That's kind of like holding someone's head underwater in the toilet to illustrate why a tsunami is bad news.

Ok, fine, we can put him in a room with 4% CO2 and a offsetting reduction in Nitrogen.

Happy?

Nothing, absolutely nothing, is more entertaining than US politicians. Other world leaders and governments don't provide this much material for comedians.

Come on, George "Fool-me-once-twice-can't-fool-me-again" Bush, Al "I-invented-the-internet" Gore, Sarah "I-can-see-Russia-from-here" Palin and Michele "HPV-vaccinations-cause-brain-damage" Bachmann are just recent players. Remember Quayle? Good times.

Aren't Americans getting tired of decades of stupid people in government? Personally, I find the comedy amusing as all hell, but then, I don't have to live where these people pass laws.

You know, at first I was one of those "we get what we deserve" types.

But no one deserves this.

/hope to baby Jesus that was taken out of context
//yet I don't know what context can make that sound sane

Just when you thought Sarah Palin was the stupidest, most ignorant, most retarded Republican to open their pie hole and spew word salad.......along comes Rick Santorum to remind everyone that he was here first, and daggumit, he's the dumbest of them all.

And another thing ...

You think having WATER in your LUNGS is dangerous???

TELL THAT TO A FISH!!

Ronald Reagan with Alzheimer's > Dubya > Sarah Palin > Rick Santorum

I can't wait to see what they scrape off the bottom of the barrel next election cycle... keep it up too much longer and they'll just put a bowl of warm rice pudding up on a podium.

/ at least the pudding would have some level of electability, though

"The dangers of carbon dioxide? Tell that to a plant, how dangerous carbon dioxide is," he said.

I've seen a couple variations on this by climate-change deniers (more CO2 = more plants creating O2, or some bullshiat); is this really the talking point they're trying to espouse? This is pretty blatantly retarded even by most GOP talking point standards.

How quickly they forget. GOP talking point: "HPV vaccine causes brain damage". (No, that's what GOP does.)

Sometimes you have to go to extremes to reach and educate people.

But ... uh ... the danger from CO2 in the atmosphere isn't suffocation. I'm not sure that would make the point you're looking for. That's kind of like holding someone's head underwater in the toilet to illustrate why a tsunami is bad news.

In either case, as regards Santorum, the same desirable end result will be achieved.

Tell that to a plant?

You might want to reassess that position on teleprompters there, Frothy.

2012-03-13 03:51:11 PM
This falls underneath a broad category of denialism sometimes referred to as "greening" (e.g. "all excess CO2 will do is create more plants"). It's been proven wrong as long as we've had records showing atmospheric CO2 concentrations.

Not that this has ever stopped people from repeating it. Deniers aren't interested in the truth, only in a soundbite that they can use to placate their conscience.

To be fair, neither Palin nor Gore said those things. The problem is largely the media. The pants-on-head candidates only gain credibility because of the "equal time for all sides" chickenshiat approach of our media.

2012-03-13 04:03:32 PM

AmorousRedDragon: According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the world's volcanoes, both on land and undersea, generate about 200 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually, while our automotive and industrial activities cause some 24 billion tons of CO2 emissions every year worldwide. Despite the arguments to the contrary, the facts speak for themselves: Greenhouse gas emissions from volcanoes comprise less than one percent of those generated by today's human endeavors.

You and your facts can make like a tree and get the fark out of here.

So Obama isn't an Anti-American, Socialist, secret Muslim who pulled off the greatest PUNK of all times by being elected without even being an American Citizen?
But he is coming to take all our guns... no?

Well at least that Fluke slut wanted the government to pay for her birth control pills.

Okay, I'm paraphrasing; but my point is that I could list four common gaffers in US government (I know, I know, Palin holds no office) just off the cuff and could probably list ten more if I thought about it for a minute. Can you quote four members of any other country's current governing body? Probably not. All other governments are less like a comedic pseudo-reality show than the US.

Great tv ratings, sure, but what has it done for you lately?

Rice Pudding had better prove that it was made with 100% American-cultivated rice... and not rice from China.

And there better not be any damn raisins in it.

Well, I guess I can overlook the raisins, as long as Rice Pudding continues to support the Fair Tax and the elimination of the Department of Education.

Look, you're never going to get the perfect candidate, OK?

Me, I prefer BLANCMANGE.

BLANCMANGE respects the Constitution, and our precious American heritage.

But the GOP Establishment is afraid of him, because they can't control him.

Face it, he'll never be the nominee. But I support him because he keeps the other candidates honest.

Rice Pudding is probably the most electable candidate.

And he's a million times better that that asshole Flan, who's in favor of amnesty for illegals. Gee, I wonder why?
