Been there, done that. All they do is change the valuation index (multiplier) to offset the decrease in value. So, old value 150k x 1% = you owe $1500 in taxes. New value 100k x 1.52% = you owe $1520 in taxes. Complete, utter bullshiat. But only the government can't spend less. Me, oh sure, why do I need any luxuries in my life?
