I was hoping the rotors were actually contained within the tire housings, but then I was wondering how they would be able to generate enough thrust. Pretty cool nonetheless

Very cool, I wonder if anyone has done the same kind of this with a Millenium Falcon model.

The guy should figure out a way to mass produce those things. I'm sure there are copyrights and patents involved that wouldn't allow him, but hey, it doesn't hurt to ask.

ABQGOD: woah that was heavy!

There's that word again; "heavy". Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the earth's gravitational pull?

bulldg4life: I have a quadrotor helicopter. Will this guy send me the crap that I need to put on mine? I must have that...

looks like he made a platform for the body with a piece of insulation board, the rotor pods are mounted on spars to the wheel base,
it's all foam board and paint... get carving.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly. Are you snarkily insulting subby for including a reference to the movies for a video of a model from the movies doing something from the movies?

If not, my most sincere apologies. If so, click on the link next time.

that's about average for all the rotor toys in that class. the only thing that would give me pause for that thing is that its mostly good at just hovering. you gotta put a little extra weight on the nose so it goes forward with any kind of authority.
it's perfectly fine for what it is, and you really shouldn't hesitate buying it for your "nephews"

I'm guessing he's using something like aeroquad code without any adjustments to compensate for the stretched prop placement. Looks cool though.
