every football player is one hit away from being paralyzed. if he's healthy enough to play, he's got to still be considered one of the best players in the league. if you are in need for a short-term quarterback, you could do a hell of a lot worse than peyton manning.

Even if he isn't ever back at full strength, Peyton at 85% is one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the league easy.

If Tim Tebow = Jesus incarnate, Peyton Manning = God incarnate.

In which case we will see Peyton tell Tim to STFU and carry out His will, which will be holding a clipboard until God gets tired of this football sh*t.

So Miami farked up signing the big ticket free agent QB on the market? Well blow me down, lol.

Cards don't want to pay Kolb his roster bonus 7 mil this thursday. It will Arizona. Manny to Fitz? That could be good.

Signing old players whose best years are behind them is what the Cards do best.

Oh PLEASE don't go to Denver. I want to be able to enjoy the draft without hearing speculation on who will trade for Tim Tebow all day on the first day.

Would you draft him before Megatron? Jennings? A Johnson?

Jacksonvile. The Broncos could easily make that trade due to the sagging numbers in the stands. As a life long Broncos fan, I hope Manning comes here. Guessing he may have 3 years left in the tank, and with how the team is currently built it would be a good fit. Decent defense and an offense that currently lacks a QB that can actually get the ball out.

Pretty sure "Manning to Fitz" is the best (if not only) advantage the Cards have.

Denver usually does not pick up veteran QBs like Payton, they develop younger ones.

I'm actually curious to know how fast all those Tebow jerseys ( I think that's the plural) are going to be switched to Manning jerseys.

I don't believe Manning is past his prime and the team that picks him up will be the conference champions during his second year there (excluding Arizona). I'll wager six months TF on this.

Yes, I'm in my cups, but the bet stands.

FTFA: The Seattle Seahawks continue to try to arrange a meeting with Manning, according to sources, but so far they have been unable to do so.

"Sorry, sir, but Peyton is unwilling to meet with a team of your mediocre caliber. Now move along so we can get to our meeting with Arizona on time."

They also play in a dome, like Indy and unlike Denver.

Why would he go to Denver to backup Tebow?

You know whats going to happen if he picks Denver right?

We will have weeks of Tebow headlines about where he is about to be traded.

Search your feelings. You know it to be true.

This. A million times this. Having to rely on Carson Palmer to stay healthy for a whole season and play P Manning/Rivers a combined 4 times a year? No me gusta.

No worries, I figure the promise of playing a dome and throwing to Fitzgerald outweighs the joy of getting to eyeball Elway's horse teeth.

I like Tebow, but getting Peyton and trading Tebow(Presumably to the Jags: Even Tebow can do better than Gabbert!) would be a huuuuuuuuuge boon to them.

Cards would have Manning-to-Fitz and a little time to decide WTF to do for the future, so I'd say that's a working relationship too.

As a Husker fan I'm glad to see Gabbert fail, not because he played for Mizzou, but because he committed to Nebraska first then backed out of it to play for Mizzou

As a Chiefs fan the thought sickens me, but I have to admit, the idea of Peyton swooping into Denver and winning a Superbowl fascinates me somewhat, just to see the speed and dexterity Denver fans exhibit in jumping off the Tebow bandwagon. Also presumably Woody Paige would be found dead via auto-erotic asphyxiation.

On the other hand, if Peyton does come to Denver, it'll be the second time Tebow will feel like his job was "grabbed back away."

I dunno why people care that much. It's not like having Peyton Manning has translated to a ton of titles for his previous team.

It'll kinda suck for him if he goes to Denver because that was pretty much the only team he ever looked like his regular-season self against in the playoffs.

i was in tucson today, and saw a cardinal. the actual bird.

the last time i saw a cardinal in tucson, that season, the cards wen tto the super bowl.

i do NOT want him here but I think it is an omen.
