cman: Talk about desperation

that's rather the defining characteristic of the GOP these days.

On average, a Wisconsin Constitutional Amendment takes 3 years to pass, and the shortest it's taken to pass was 9 months. The nature of the Wisconsin Constitutional Amendments require the legislature to approve it, and then for the next legislature following the elections to approve it again before it is placed on a ballot for voters to approve.

Even if they pass it this time, it is technically impossible for them to use this to save any of the people currently being recalled. And if the Senate flips parties as a result of the recalls, then it'll have even less of a chance.

Go on then. Do it. I hope it passes. I hope it passes, some Democrats run on a pro-GOP platform, and then when inaugurated they instill mandatory socialist abortions for anyone who isn't Kenyan or a muslim. And you reactionary mother farkers won't have any legal means to expel them from office due to your own idiocy.

2012-03-09 02:41:13 PM
Apart from the whole murder of babies thing, but that's already part of their platform according to the GOP so what really changes here??

2012-03-09 02:43:30 PM
As if the Democrats needed more motivation to GOTV up there.

Good. This passes. They get recalled. The Lieberals take power and then force everyone to convert to islam and get monthly abortions. This will free up the now married gays to work to give unions the strength to force everyone to have government run health care. Minorities will live in everyone's neighborhood and speak other languages that hurt old peoples' ears, all while teaching sex education to the chlidren. And the poor minority Christian GOP won't be able to recall them, despite prayers and doubling the birth rate of the white women.

Excellent. The plan is going exactly as 0bama has forseen.

Maybe they should form a union

This is the normal short sighted BS that has become the normal for politics: Great idea! so long as we hold the majority and then no one else can use it! Then years later, things switch around and then the same party is screaming about the unfairness of it all.

Fark no! Leave it so the people have some power to pull idiots out of office once they've shown their true colors.

They're Wisconsonites. All their true colors are the same: potatoe.

Even with all of that in mind, it's really bad politics, and will only work to enrage further the people who plan to oust Walker. Not saying it'll be successful, but taunting the lynch mob that's chasing you is probably the exact wrong tactic.

This will be great when this takes effect during a democratic governor's tenure.

2012-03-09 06:04:39 PM
The measure would allow officeholders to be recalled only if they have been charged with a serious crime or if there is a finding of probable cause that they violated the state code of ethics.

That can certainly be arranged

Boy, the Republicans sure seem unconcerned about Walker's impending recall election. Yep, totally unconcerned. Un... concerned.

2012-03-09 06:14:47 PM
They did it to the unions in the pooper. Butt sex should not be a reason for recall.

We don't live in that age, people.

I never thought I would say this, but at least Blagojevich was a man about it.

As much as this shows the desperation of the republicans here in wisconsin, it really stands no chance of passing. I would really be amazed if it gets thru the senate. they only have a 1 vote advantage at this point, and even that is shaky. And after the huge mess Walker and Co. have brought to us, I cannot see it getting voted in by the people.

You'd be surprised. They're probably panicking because they can't get the preset Diebold machines in on time.

It's so improved, in fact, that one of the male state Supreme Court Justices put a choke hold on a female justice. Yep, things are right peachy up there.

Either that, or the Koch brothers told Walker "Son, you're on your own!", and cut off the bribe money he needs to pay Diebold off.

I'm waiting for the lost spreadsheets to surface with extra votes on them the day after the election.

Yes, in the last round of elections, we kind of shot ourselves in the foot here in Wisconsin. The first round of recalls helped clean up some of the mess. This second round will be the same as wiping twice to avoid stains. Walker and Co, could not even push there big mining bill thru, i donbt that this will pass.

Written like a true partisan shill. Now go on and resume your practice of being a post and run coward who can't handle any form of actual debate and continue to wish for terrorist attacks on Obama's watch.

He won't respond to you. His MO is to make one partisan, hate-filled comment and then run away before he sees any form of differing opinion. Holding an actual conversation terrifies him.

I'd rather deal with a bot - bots are programable hatmongers. This guy is just delusional with his outright hatred, resorting to openly wishing for terrorist attacks to strike on Obama's watch so he can justify it.

Considering how long it takes for a constitutional amendment to pass in Wisconsin, and the current backlash against the GOP in the state, how can they not realize that this is very likely to come back and bite them in the ass, (if it is even ratified)?
