Sounds like every animal abuser I've ever heard once they are caught "I didn't think it was wrong".

I'm having a difficult time finding the words that would be appropriate to express not just my disgust, but the wave of nausea that just came over me upon thinking about what that poor dog had to endure for the sake of this person's entertainment.

I think what I'll just end up saying instead is that I would support a .22 to the back of the head and a lime-lined pit for a grave. Right after the dog got to rip the cock and balls off this asshole with its teeth. Followed by a bath of lemon juice and salt.

Cases like this are why I support capital punishment. Society would lose nothing if this guy were taken behind the woodshed and told to look the other way while a 9 mm bullet tore apart his brain. When it's done, just burn the body. No fuss, no muss.

Huh. And it was PETA who originally brought the situation to light. I'm so used to associating them with extremism I forgot they do this kind of stuff too.

The ass raping he receives in prison will be for entertainment purposes as well.

Listen, I realize it's a little cruel to tell your dog about how you took some chicken, covered it with cat treats and then GAVE IT TO THE CAT, but it hardly qualifies as "torture."

Man, I just had to give my dog a hug. That story made me sick to my stomach. Now I'm reminded why I don't give a fark about the human race, and the only charities I deal with are for animals.

In Idaho there are no felony animal cruelty laws. Because it might scare off hunters. No, really...

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.

This goes for the rest of you who are fantasizing about torturing/killing this maggot.

I found it disturbing just to read the video be described, much less watch it. What the hell is wrong with people?

I know it's a silly distinction to make, but I think there's something especially troubling about people who do this to "companion animals." Slaughtering a cow for meat I'll allow, but the dog's sole purpose in contemporary American society is to love and be loved, how messed up do you have to be to "not know its wrong" to torture one?

You might want to look into how most meat animals in the US are treated. It qualifies as torture, and there's no need for it.

Blah blah blah. Wanting to see vengeance extracted on a horrible human being who made a conscious choice to be a horrible human being is in no way even close to being a horrible human being who makes a conscious choice to torture an innocent animal.

That line of reasoning is such tiresome bullsh*t.

I understand that. It is however, completely possible, to be against the torturing of domestic animals, like dogs and cats, and also want better conditions for animals that are slaughtered for our food, like cows, chickens and pigs. I love steaks, and won't stop eating them, but that doesn't mean I don't think that the cows that provide that steak for me should be treated and killed humanely. Greensboro has a great Farmers' Market, and when we go during the summer, we try to buy meat from the local farms that sell it there, since we know it's fresh and the animals weren't tortured first. It's not much, but it's what we can do.

My thoughts exactly. What he did to those animals is awful, but thank goodness he was caught before he did something similar to a human.

Blasphemous Knave: how messed up do you have to be to "not know its wrong" to torture one?

People are farked up. There is a stray cat where I live that someone set on fire, she lived, just because they wanted to. My friend's cat got out and some people from the apartments in back had him in a box and were going to beat his head in with a brick til their neighbors told them that the cat belonged to someone here. A guy that lives in a house next to the building started spraying pesticide in a food bowl that was left outside and he knew damn well he wrong for it. During the Chicken Festival someone in a car threw a kitten out while going quite fast,my friend took that one in. These people here are evil and all that was just from the last two years.

That's why, in addition to noting the hair's edge of the distinction above, my meat consumption is rare and typically a little guilt-ridden.

No, it's not. Frankly, vengeance is as base a reason as "I didn't think it was wrong.", if not more so. Ignorance is one thing, willfully celebrating your inner urge to hurt/kill, regardless of your excuse, is another. Call it vengeance, call it justice, doesn't change that it is little more than bloodlust.

It's too bad you're not civilized enough to understand that.

But that's not how it works on TV police dramas! And if I've learned anything, it's that TV, like the Internet, is 100% reflective of reality.

There is another link posted today on Fark about mistreating HUMAN children and I don't see the kind of charged responses I do in this comments section.

The only reason you socially inept farks hold animals in higher regard than your fellow man is because those animals are incapable of judging you or calling you on your stupid crap.
