People don't thank me for just doing my job either, but I don't cry about it.

The horror.

To be fair he did get to go to her birthday parties.

See if I ever vote for Bill Clinton for President again.

Double jeopardy: President Clinton (left) greets troops at the 'Bridge of No Return' on the North-South Korea border in 1993 where, Dan Emmett claims, he put lives in danger by walking too far along the bridge for a 'pointless photo op', while his insistence on jogging in public proved a 'nightmare' situation for his agents

"Uh hey.. is there any way I can be on a protection detail as Secret Service for the President without having to have it be, like, hard or something? 'Cause I think that'd be awesome."

That's it - let it out, before it eats you up inside.

I'm sure that President and Mrs. Gingrich will be more than cordial with the help.

I hear that she also ate dinner with her elbows on the table.

/Tsk, tsk--never amount to anything...

THIS.

Relatively Obscure: "Uh hey.. is there any way I can be on a protection detail as Secret Service for the President without having to have it be, like, hard or something? 'Cause I think that'd be awesome."

And THAT.

Fark you, asshole. Danger is part of the job. So is dealing with bosses who are in what may be the most high-stress family situation in existence. And another part of the job is that you don't tell the family's secrets.

No honor. You're a disgrace to the Service. And it makes me mad as hell that you're going to profit from your behavior.

What do you Farkers want to bet this guy is going to be a Fark headline in a few years for farking little boys in his class?

I have to ask: does Fark have an agreement with the DM like Drudge does?

If not, why are there so many farking Daily Mail links here?

That must suck.

I don't care if the Clinton's (sic) are polite as long as they do a good job. I generally think they have been doing so.

That said, I say thank you all the time. It can't hurt to be cordial.

Three Crooked Squirrels: That said, I say thank you all the time. It can't hurt to be cordial.

Doesn't matter.

If you go into politics, there will always be someone willing to make money by claiming that you NEVER say thank you.

During the trip in 1993, he said the former President went too far along the bridge separating the two nations, according to the Washington Examiner.

In another account, Emmett said Mr Clinton 'dealt us this nightmare' by insisting on jogging in public.

Yeah? Not your farking call, do your job.

This trait, he added, was found in even greater measure among the young White House personnel, whom he said displayed 'fundamental traits of rudeness and arrogance' which, at times, bordered on dangerous.

'Most of these youngsters were from wealthy families and many viewed Secret Service agents as the hired help,' he wrote.

You are hired help. You are hired to help the person you are protecting. If you want people to respect your authority, join the Army.

I shall never have to face that problem. I am, in a word, 'unelectable'.

It's kind of telling that this guy's book is self-published. Makes you wonder why it wasn't published by one of the many well known companies.

Truth. But no one actually respects theirs, we just pretend to :)

2012-03-09 01:50:41 AM
I have always felt that she was a cold mean b*tch, but that isn't what I take from this. This guy's job was to provide security for the president and the first family, not take notes on how b*tchy they are. Honestly, some of what you see is not meant for your critiquing, you are actually in their HOME, and while they do need you there, it is not appropriate to be judgmental on a family you are there to serve.

Now go write a column in WND or something.

C'mon guys, you don't have to get thanked for doing your job but it's still nice. I thank people who serve me, it's just common courtesy, it doesn't matter that they're being paid to do it. A thank you and a smile goes a long way to not only improving their day, but yours as well. What kind of person works day in day out with people and never ever says thank you? That requires someone to go out of their way to refuse to say it after so long.

Or someone overly sensitive and hyper vigilant to take some hyperbole and their pet peeve and try to put something interesting into a press release to sell their crappy book.

His other quotes make him an epic douche. "The sitting president of the united states wanted us, the people sworn to defend and obey him, to defend and obey him when he took risks." If that's your beef with the guy, seek medical attention before that sand in your vag gets infected.

What kind of person writes a book about not being thanked? I bet the author is right; I bet Hillary is a bit frigid and superior. I also bet the author is a sanctimonious, self-righteous prick who fancies his life story as the next Tom Clancy best seller.

Yeh I suppose you've got a point, he has taken a minor slight way too far. He has held onto it for an irrationally long period of time. Thank you.

Apostrophes, how do they work?

2012-03-09 07:02:09 AM
"self-published book" and "according to the Washington Examiner" is what I took away from this article. Dumbass should have gotten on the Clinton hate wagon when it was still hot.

Sounds like someone spent too much on hookers and blow and needed some extra cash

2012-03-09 07:03:02 AM
A former U.S. Secret Service agent to the Clinton's claims Hillary never said 'thank you' to agents. Calls her aloof and the rest of the family arrogant being a self-entitled woman

/possibly redundant

2012-03-09 07:04:56 AM
Sounds like Agent Butthurt chose the wrong career path.

2012-03-09 07:07:50 AM
So subby actually mean's the Clinton's were professional and went about their business like they were supposed's to do instead of glad-handing and making brownies' for their SS's protector's.

/Apostrophe, how the fark does it work, subby?

Doesn't this mean Sarah Palin is now Batman and Barack Obama has to go live in a pineapple under the sea?

Jeeze. Even the Clinton's claims had secret service agents? And people wonder where government waste goes.

Um, you are.

But you should see her dodge sniper fire.

2012-03-09 07:28:38 AM
Jeez, how do they let someone in to the Secret Service who still has to man up and grow a pair?

Scary.

SevenizGud: But you should see her dodge sniper fire.

That was actually a secret service agent in drag.

2012-03-09 07:33:00 AM
the author should have stayed anonymous. then he could have made up the most ridiculous claims carte blanche. there is always a few who will take it as scripture. Pres. Clinton mush have sex twice a day - or his heart will stop! I helped to hide Chelsea Clinton's secret deformed twin! Hillary is a man!

I'm sure he'd have put in some of his speculations about Vince Foster TOO, except that his lawyer frantically scratched those paragraphs out while frantically muttering "seven-figure libel suit".
