There has been too much violence, too much pain.

None here are without sin.

But I have an honorable compromise.

Just walk away.

Give me the pump

the oil

the gasoline

and the whole compound, and I'll spare your lives.

Just walk away. I will give you safe passage in the Wasteland.

Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror.

I await your answer.

You have one full day to decide.

I lived beside a few members of a local motorcycle enthusiast club way back in the day. They were incredibly polite and civil to the neighbours, and we had the safest street in town. Buck, Joker and Fat Gary never brought their work home with them.

Wait, is that real? Because I'm not sure if the wind machine and the gaping maw are supposed to give the pic a seductive vibe, or indicate a mouth breathing problem of epic proportions.

IDK what the fark is going on in this thread. Usually its because there are a bunch of obscure (to me) computer game references.

This is not a bad idea. Actually, its a good idea. People prey on the weak. Your area is a "drug" area in part because you give the drug dealers enough room to operate. Many times its because you are scared of them. I can see why you might be. But, many of those drug dealers are small business men who think similarly. They don't want to be ianywhere that's "hot". It farks the money up. And people purchasing drugs normally don't want to do it in eye and earshot of people who they assume to be anti-drug. Sit on the porch. Make yourself a visable presence in your neighborhood. Stop baricading yourself inside the house while they take over the sidewalk out front. You don't have to be a confrontational hero to make a difference.

The most pragmatic words in the thread.

I saw a local study back in school indicating that neighbourhoods in which people had 'front porch' communities instead of backyard isolation had lower levels of street crime. The visibility factor makes all the difference, and this factor straddled several different socio-economic groups.

People aren't in the front, because bad stuff happens out there. Can't leave stuff about or it gets stolen; gunfire at night, etc. Duh.

This.

You get to choose! Which set of power abusing thugs do you trust? Both with ego issues and political masters - the drug dealers motives are strongly capitalist and somewhat transparent. And... they share your interest in protecting themselves from abuses by the cops....

one heck of a coincidence, I just posted something today about this same problem in San Francisco, and many people have never heard of it. It was started by Molly Wetzel in Oakland, CA in 1989, it's not about negotiating with the dope dealers, but going after the landlords that house them

Look at it. Stare at it. See it. This is what most folks in Indiana look like. Something to do with a recessive gene, or some Monsanto hullaballoo.

Exactly. That's why we never leave our house, open the blinds or get to know the neighbours. It's far too dangerous and there's no hope for improvement. I wonder why that study I referred to never took those angles into account. Researchers are, like, dumb.

Neighborhoods with a biker clubhouse generally have ridiculously low crime rates. Gangsta' houses... not so much.

Bikers are bad dudes that should generally be avoided but I'd prefer a neighborhood run by them than the little psycho thugs that seem to be everywhere these days. They have no honor.
