Remember, if you ban birth control or make it more difficult to obtain, everyone will stop having sex until they are married.

Did we skip back in time a hundred years?

Do they kick out guys who have a babby out of wedlock?

But two weeks after her readmission, a school counselor and the director of the middle school forced the teen to stand before the middle school assembly and announced her condition -- allegedly before anyone but her sister knew.

Obviously that wasn't the case.

That or we suddenly changed to Saudi Arabia. Theocracy is theocracy, and the Christian ones are worse because that's what we'll have here.

Runs_With_Scissors_: Do they kick out guys who have a babby out of wedlock?

Probably unnecessary. The kinds of guys who would impregnate a 15-year-old eight-grader are usually the the ones who dropped out as high school sophomores, as soon as they turned 21.

No, they're needed in the big game this weekend.

True. Damned European socialist sport. We'd execute them on a real American football field, or possibly a baseball diamond.

Ah. So we're OK because we're not quite Saudi Arabia? That is not a goal worth aspiring to.

I figured as much on that part.

I'm referring to the guys who knocked up someone - anyone - out of wedlock. Were they kicked out?

No they'd just deny her contraceptives and abortion so she' go to some back-ally place and have it done and die during the process.

At least the way too young mother will have money to take care of her child when she wins the lawsuit, or the ACLU makes sure they settle out of court for a handsome sum.

It's not a HIPPA issue, in this case, but if you read the article, it's "violation of constitutional rights to equal protection and of the Title IX prohibition against sex and pregnancy discrimination in education."

Runs_With_Scissors_: Do they kick out guys who have a babby out of wedlock?

No. Remember, it's always the girl's fault if she gets pregnant because she's a dirty little whore.

Guys are studs if they have sex. Girls are whores if they have sex.

*rolls eyes*

Today these kids usually wait until they're at LEAST 16 to get pregnant.

She's 15 now. Do you see the babby with the full head of hair she's holding? They kicked her out before she was even showing. Also? The ACLU filed the suit today, and it takes quite a while to get one of those together, too.

2012-03-07 10:00:37 PM
Meh, I'd be more embarrassed to be 15 and in eighth grade.

How very improper. The young woman is a strong courageous woman and needs to be supported not abused by the people she trusts.

This was the first thing I thought of also. If a classmate is the father, did the school do the same thing to him as they did to the girl or do they think pregnancy is just the girls fault?

I think that was bad phrasing. I read it as "none of her classmates, other than her sister, knew" Obviously all the adults, the ACLU and her parents knew.

Added bonus is that she is native in NM.
This situation is pathetic all around. Girls that age should not be having sex and in no way are ready to bear the burden of a child.
The principle may have attempted to use her as an example of what should not happen. If he is white he will be crucified; if he is native it will be another story.

Something, something, aspirin between the legs, something, something.

lohphat: Regressive Puritans want the 1600's back.

Except that the Puritans were total fu*k machines, just like the rest of us pleasure-driven mammals. They actually had pretty ambivalent attitudes about sex before marriage, fu*king in public and the like.

The Regressive Puritans want a place back that never existed. They want Father Knows Best.

"I didn't want the whole school to know I was pregnant because it's not their business, and it wasn't right for my teachers to single me out."

Not saying what the principal did was right, but you're classmates where probably going to figure it out anyways.
