I LOVE Seattle! Beautiful city. Lots of water (I Love rain). Downtown has a great vibe.

What's not to love?

This! Seattle's a great city. But even the best of us get freaking sick of the cold and gray at just about this time of year.

/really, those two weeks in summer totally make up for the six months of rain...

I heard they had the bluest skies and the greenest green, in Seattle. Like a beautiful child growing up, free and wild, full of hopes and full of fears, full of laughter, full of tears, full of dreams to last a year. in Seattle

In Seattle.

You have no idea how much you really appreciate the sun until you don't see it for a good chunk of the year.

She was Miss Phoenix, but moved and later became Miss Seattle? I think this is the first time I've ever heard of a beauty contest carpetbagger.

/I'd sure like to bag her carpet

I don't know if anybody complains more about Seattle than me," Dori said.

Dori complains about everything. That is the basis for his show.

Pittsburgh reminded me of Portland, and not in a bad way at all.

And why are there no pics of Miss Seattle?

She moved back from Arizona. And if you ask me, her tweet sounded pretty darn affectionate of the city.

The beautiful summers more than make up for the winter rains, IMHO. YMMV.

/To be fair, some Seattlites can be quite annoying.

I was in Seattle for 5 nights during August. Absolutely beautiful sunny weather with nice warm nights which were great for alfresco dining and watching baseball.

I got really lucky.

I also was in NY during hurricane Irene. Stupid subway closing down.

What I remember the most about Seatlle is how the city was so nice as to put all the hot steam vents around the city for the homeless. Really quite thoughtful.

Oh c'mon, complaining about the weather and the passive-aggressiveness of the populace here is a rite of passage. Saying anything otherwise would result in an automatic disqualification.

Been to Seattle several times, the people are great. Even traveling in winter (to see Seahawks games - yeah, I don't wanna hear about it) I've rarely encountered bad weather. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe I'm tired of stuck-up San Diego, but I love Seattle.

I love Seattle. Just don't use a bus or visit a nightclub. Might get yourself counted as one of the record number of murders we've already had here this year.

I grew up in a far norther California coastal town called Eureka. I've never been to Seattle, but my brother told me that it's very much like a much larger version of Eureka. Which might make it a good place to visit, but that sort of climate isn't for me.

Repo Man: Which might make it a good place to visit, but that sort of climate isn't for me.

I will say that when I moved here I was worried about adjusting to the climate, but it hasn't bothered me as much as I thought. Sure, I wish I saw the sun more during the winter months, but it's not like during the Monday thru Friday work grind I'd be able to spend all that much time frolicking in the marigolds anyways.

Plus, there are hidden treasures here. Until it's fully demolished, you can still park under the viaduct and appreciate Eastern Bloc architecture in all its beauty, complete with Stasi agents...err...excuse me, meter maids wandering about.

Heh! I lived in Eureka for a couple years, back in the mid 90s. Used to crabfish off the pier next to the Adorni center.

It was sunny in Portland today. It's clear and relatively warm right now. It's frequently less rainy in Portland than it is in Seattle.

U mad, Washingtonians?
