I hate that argument, but it struck me funny. I voted you up, you slut prostitute sex tape maker.

Meanwhile, farkettes continue to blahter on about how killing their own babies so as to not be inconvenienced by parenthood is their inherent natural right.

Weird times we live in.

Wow. No greater love.

Odd. A terse list of "More" tags : "hero" and that's it.

no "Penny Marshall" or "Wizard of Oz" or "AIDS Vaccine" or the other nonsensical stuff like "Weather" or "Indiana".

Overnight, her husband, Joe Decker, tearfully said that the flattened house on Henryville Road had been their dream house.

At first I thought honest bender was going to be the biggest ass-hat in the thread, but you've got him beat by a mile.

/good on ya', mom.

///reminds me of a story....slashy CSB? A few years back, a young boy got grabbed by a gator. Dad managed to pull the child from the gators grasp. A reporter went to interview the child in the hospital. The child asked the reporter "Hey, you want to see my scars?" The reporter said yes, expecting to be shown the mangled legs from the gators jaws. The child instead held his arms out, and pointed to wounds on each forearm, and said "These are from where my daddy refused to let go of me."

Farking awesome mom. Most would do the same tho. Most parents would die for their kids, as would I.

Stop living there, sell everything and go someplace that doesn't have natural disasters like this. Try the northeast, just snow and that is easy to deal with.

2012-03-06 12:25:18 PM
To my fans, thank you. It takes a lot of work to comedy troll a story like this. To everyone else, lighten up.

But in all seriousness, that mother really is a hero. She managed to save her kids AND lose a bunch of weight at the same time. The rest of you stay-at-home loads could learn something from her.

not really.. the legs were amputated way too low. Has to be higher up the leg to make any real difference.

2012-03-06 12:26:28 PM
Wow, are we seriously going to crucify a legless mother in this thread?

Because that's physically impossible.

A different article says they had just gotten home and headed directly to the basement when it hit. (new window)

And yeah, saving your kids is awesome. I'd give every one of my limbs and more if I knew it would save my kids. Any good parent would.

I've got to say I prefer earthquakes to tornadoes: they both might annihilate your house, but at least with an earthquake you'll know where to find whatever is left. If you're in an open field? An earthquake might knock you over. A tornado will pick your ass up and hurl it into the next zip code.

Exactly. I don't intend to co-opt you into a discussion about the voice of god, but to every person that ever asked "Where was He when THIS happened?"

Here's the answer, yelling at you from the middle of a tornado - there's no "he".

No white beard, no person, no praying hands, no church, no rules. Just the truth. god is just "what's true" and it appears to be responsive, for good or ill. That's really up to us. It is potential, we are kinetic.

Wake up and see; Ignore and despair. The name god means NOTHING. How you relate to what's before you means everything.
