Why are all dogs convinced that porcupines are delicious? Has any dog you know ever successfully hunted and consumed a porcupine? They just wind up with a muzzle full of spikes.

I dunno. I always thought my dog was a pretty smart guy but even he didn't learn the porcupine lesson the first time...or the second.

Once pulled 103 quills out of my cousin's dog. It's like she fell sideways onto the back of the porcupine. No quills on her muzzle but her side was shoulder was covered.

Same cousin runs a dairy farm and has had cows come in for the morning milking with a nose full of quills. So, maybe the porcupines on his property are dicks who like starting fights.

Especially in the wintertime. They come here to get out of the rest of America.

That's what happens when you cut down all their trees.

Same problem here in Michigan, but nobody is talking about it. It falls under the auspices of the DNR though, so ignoring the issue is no surprise.

porkies are vicious house destroying rodents, best dispatched with a baseball bat

QFT

Unfortunately some of them stay. Most leave because they can't make it here.

Then we hear the obligatory. I could have stayed, I just didn't want to.

Maybe they should plant some more porcupine trees.

Massholes, New Yorkers, and New Jerseyans immigrate into California in record numbers. Prick levels go off the charts.

Coincidence?

Is this the thread where all of the Fark Conservatives who have only heard/seen anything about California on Fox News complain about how awful and socialist the state is?

So far, doesn't look like it, thank goodness.

No. It's the thread where some douchebag comes in talking politics on a non-politics thread.

I prefer a shot gun.

Last summer, we shot two porcs on our deck, chewing on the railings. Gave one a nice gut shot, intestines and whatnot hanging out. We thought the bastard was dead, but after about five minutes, it started crawling away. Another shot to the head fixed that. I have an old coal shovel we've repurposed as the Porc Disposal Tool.

Porcupines are a scourge and should be eliminated at all costs.

Not my intention, but I realize that I ended up doing it anyway. Apologies.
