Oh wow, what a great save from Bogdan.

Post got a late transfer to Bolton it seems.

Lame that FSC is playing the City v Bolton non-contest over Chelsea right now, but at least we Arsenal fans can get a glimpse of Miyachi.

Stoke now have to face a team that can match them for heading skill. See how they like it up 'em

I need to go back to sleep. I just remembered I did the whole "text people I shouldn't have" thing last night while I was downing whiskey.

Why I love soccer - it may make my life better or worse, but it never complicates it. Unlike women.

Just rewatched the Arsenal-Liverpool highlights. What are the chances that Alex Song might actually be Cesc Fabregas wearing blackface?

2012-03-03 10:17:07 AM
Tim Ream is a good player, but he cannot body up against Yaya Toure and expect to win.

2012-03-03 10:19:09 AM
Pablo Zabaleta is down injured, and looks to be off. On comes Kolo Toure.

Through 210+ minutes and Arsenal still has scored all of the goals today.

Now to read them...

Holy shiat
GAEL CLICHY strikes on from 30 out and it takes a deflection and goes in.

Good day for Arsenal it seems.

N'Zogbia gets one too.

Ugh, bad defending by Bolton there.

You know, I had to get ready for work and I thought that I would be able to calm down a bit from that defeat doing that and driving in to work.

I was wrong.

I'm farking sick and tired of seeing this team suck more than a farking vacuum almost every farking week. If we hadn't won that final last week, I'd be calling for Kenny's farking head right now! I don't give a damn that he's a Liverpool legend. Other than last week, his reign has been pathetic! He's gotten nothing out of this goddamn team. Saurez sucks. Downing sucks. Carroll is a massive pile of suck. Henderson is a farking joke. Adam's been piss poor. And I could go on and on.

That was our 7th or 8th game that we should've won and farking didn't. Because we brought in a bunch of overrated pieces of shiat and are being managed by a clueless "legend." And I'm farking fed up with it.

Fingertip save for Man City.

You're right. People may love King Kenny, but Liverpool is drastically underperforming. I don't know that all of the problems are Dalglish's fault, but the players aren't motivated enough. If Liverpool doesn't make the top four, I can't see Dalgish getting another year.

Nice little give and go for Man City. Poor finish, though.

Bogdan is single-handedly keeping Bolton in this.

If he can win the FA cup on top of the Carling cup, he'll be back.

How is Man City not up by half a dozen?

Exactly what I was going to say. If we sweep the domestic cups, it makes things look better. But for those of us who've watched almost every single match we've played, there's not a ton of reason for optimism.

I would argue that our tournament form has been different (carling cup championship excluded). We ousted the best of the best. If our boys don't let the league frustrations enter their cup mindset, I think they very well could do it.

Apparently the wildlife from Queen's Park has come to play. A squirrel had to be chased off the pitch.

The BBC radio updates on that match have focused far more on the squirrel than any action on the pitch....

That would have been a spectacular own goal on Bolton.

Man City finally gets the ball cleanly past the keeper.

And half a dozen pancakes later [burp].

Not many goals today? Perhaps a late flurry.

Also making chilli con carne. In the proper Yorkshire way, none of that Tex/Mex rubbish.

Stoke has just scored.

Rangers losing at home. Might be some unemployed players on Monday.

ahh, the football gods cursed Chelsea since last year for overspending.
that is the only explanation i can think of to defend such an over-talented team, including coach.

Had a great chance to make a late run at the CL spot and blew it. Good thing I have plenty of gin and vodka in the house.

League in three groups now

1-7
8-15
16-20.

Three from 5 at the bottom to be the ones that go down.

Actually, I'd say it's more like this

1-2 (The Manchester clubs have no chance of falling out of the top 2, IMO)
3-6
7-15
16-20

There's an chance of Liverpool joining that 3-6 group, but the gaps between the other groups aren't going to be bridged.

Someone sign up Sigurdsson STAT! He's been quite impressive for Swansea this season and those 2 goals today showed his quality.

Holy crap, I totally missed the Chelsea game. Surprising result

One thing that is making me feel a bit better: Zlatan Ibrahimovic has a 14 minute hat trick against Palermo.

Here's a question:

Who thinks Chelsea is going to tell AVB this week to GTFO? ESPN was reporting this week that Rafa Benitez was going to take over if that happens.

Chelsea should have won, but missed some opportunities, and was careless in the 83 minute on a set play.
Essien was superbe, and the best player.

English media showed Jose Mourhino looking at houses in the west side of london this week

This is the name I've heard being bandied about on the radio. Possibly a 2-3 year stint before moving North to the big job.

And loose Lambert, the man who should win the manager of the year award? Over mine and Delia's dead bodies.
