if only. All I really need is a bed and food. I've got at least a hundred t-shirts

I guess I should have said, "stop buying consumer electronics you don't need."

Interesting philosophy. What you reading Fark with, there, sparky?

Or are you going to try to spin the word "need" to cover your hypocrisy?

Actually, best if you keep your recommendations to yourself; live your life however you want and shut the fark up about how you feel others should live theirs.

Calm Down You Spaz: Say will this be the first product demo w-o jobs? That's gonna be weird.

No, the iPhone 4S was introduced and demoed by Tim Cook because Steve was basically on his deathbed at the time.

Tobin_Lam: stuhayes2010: A) this is probably not real.
B) quad core sounds great for bettery life

/sent on iPad 2.

Dual cores sound "great" for battery life yet the iPad 2 has a longer life than the original iPad.

Some of the new quad cores either turn off the extra cores when they aren't needed or seriously down clock them. Then you have the Tegra 3 which actually has 5 cores with the fifth being a low power core for when the device is idling so that the other four cores can be completely shut down. Overall quad core devices should use less power.

I'm reading Fark on my work computer. Where I do my work. I also read Fark on my home computer, and on my smartphone. If I buy a new computer, it's because my old one is insufficient, not because it's super cool to have a new one. Imagine if people did this for cars... every year they bought the new Honda Civic because there was a new one.

It's not my fault people are so enamored with a company that they feel compelled to buy every incremental upgrade that Apple can force their suicidal workers to churn out. And then they have the audacity to complain that the next incremental upgrade is out and that they have to buy it just because it's out. No shiat they're making another one. Morons (like the people who will inevitably be in line for iPad3 using their iPad2s) are buying multiple iterations of the same product with minor differences and they're making a ton of cash just because people want to have the new thing.

Buy electronics because you need them for their functions, not because of what other people will think. Or don't listen to me and keep blowing your money on stupid shiat and then be miserable when the new iPad4 comes out. Whatever.

In conclusion, die in a fire.

Well, the [HERO] tag is certainly deserved by whoever the evil mind is at Apple that timed the announcement so that it happened while Eric Schmidt was onstage delivering the keynote at the MWC.

/So that's the sound of 500 tech bloggers simultaneously switching their focus away from the stage and onto their mobile device of choice...

Who the fark says "a iPad?"

/does not make payments on iPads.
//not even one payment.

iPads are the true 1%......

Because 1% of people actually use them for something productive....the other 99% are play baby's who want to entertain themselves constantly.

That's true of EVERY consumer grade computer platform.

9beers: Abe Vigoda's Ghost: Not really. For $300 less, you can have a Kindle fire with a faster processor.

You can't compare the Fire to an iPad.

No, I think for the price, the Fire is far superior to the iPad.

THere have also been a lot of complaints about the Fire being slow so I'm not sure that processor is helping much.

I bought my wife the iPad 2, and honestly, the Fire renders web pages much faster then the iPad.

If you don't want to make payments, you can buy it outright used for only $1100.
