Csb:
My girlfriend got her first car just last year, was a manual. She practiced for about a month on it to get perfect.
One day, as I hadn't driven a stick before, I asked if I could practice on her car; she was giddy knowing she could show ME how to do something.

We hopped in, and I stalled it trying to start it up (again, never driven one before). After that, drove home through a highway and hills, absolutely no problem. No grinding, stalling, or stopping (I am just one of those people who has a feel for machines). Pulled into my driveway and she was fuming. Absolutely furious that I was able to do basically instantly what took her a month's practice.

In her defense, I still drive an automatic, and if I ever need to move her car I have trouble getting it started (that was the only part that didn't feel intuitive).

What part of "push in clutch, turn key" is giving you trouble, exactly?

Interesting device, until the person in the chair sneezes or laughs.
