This is the first %100 accurate headline in Fark's history.

Kids making music never gets old.

That managed to push all the good emotional and experiential buttons for me simultaneously: I always loved that song, I like seeing kids do and learn neat things, the found-object instruments are great, I like seeing an adult who has no problem being a kid for awhile, and the kids themselves are darned talented. Good find, subby!

Wouldn't life pretty much suck if you had a problem with being a kid?

You are wrong. Any kid with an instrument in his hands is 1000000 times more better than the do nothing clowns that sit around and knock them.

That really is cute and everything, but the shaker track has been overdubbed....compare sight to sound.

There's no doubt of a bit of post-production, but I still like it.

But see, that ruins the cuteness for me. What's the point of enjoying the innocent simplicity of the toddler when we hide their "mistakes"?

It seems like little more than a bit of timing adjustment. I don't think that's too egregious.

Seeing kids take an interest in music is heart warming. It seems all I hear about these days is how "The music program was cut from a local school district this month."
For a short period I was worried that the Guitar Hero/Rock Band phase was going to kill interest in pick up instruments, but I figured out it wasn't an either/or situation.

That was cute as hell, but whoever mixed it needs to turn down the Gorram reverb. Sounds like they're in a farking cave made out of tin cans.

Thought I originally wouldn't like this because I figured it they would be trying a kid's bop style of the songs, but I actually like their performance so good on them. If I had kids I'd probably be doing the same thing (with the same era of music). I especially love the part in "Strangelove" where the little girl is attaching binder clips to the father's face while he sings "Pain, will you return it? I'll say it again, pain".

I jam with my 9 year old sometimes. We have a washboard band. He plays various percussive instruments while I strum the guitar.
