Americans work harder, longer and most importantly better. We should not feel bad that we have what we have because one day we may just not have it. America/We have what we have because our fore fathers fought and died and spilled their blood at nearly every generation for the freedoms and luxuries that we enjoy. The reson why the Davidians can do their wacky thing, and Heston can raise a rifle over his head, and ELF can spray paint hummers in a dealership is the same. Our ancestors bought this with their blood sweat and tears. Other countries at other times didnt do this, and they are where they are now because they didnt. I am not saying everyone else sucks and we dont, but I believe that we are the last standing super power for a reason, and we are the greatest country on Earth for a reason. We do enough, we will always be looking to do more for everyone, but I must reject the concept that because we have a good lifestyle we should allow anyone to come here in any numbers they want.

I feel and always have felt that the people of any country will tolerate injustice and oppression only so much untill finally they get angry enough to rise up and throw down their oppressors, and that is what has to happen. Sure it fails some times like in Tiennamen Square and when the Sunni's tried to take over Iraq after Gulf War 1, and we should support those efforts more and more. I believe that each person on this planet has a God given right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness and when that right is being curtailed or circumvented, then its time to to take your leaders to school.

I remember reading Orwell in 1984 who I think said that if there was ever to be any hope for the people to break out of their jack boot society, the hope lies with the masses. The answer is not for everyone to come here. The answer is for here to go everywhere. Heck, look at Japan, inside of 50 years, they had us beat in building cars! Democracy and freedom is what needs to be imported, to other countries, not an endless stream of people into this country that we will eventually not be able to feed, clothe, or educate well enough.

Wow! We have totally forgot about Wal-Mart. I agree that immigration should be a priority for Bush, but he's too busy protecting his investment -- OIL. If refugees and immigrants, and whatnot want's to come into the United States and work for peanuts earning minimum wage, hey, have at it. YES. These ideals are for U.S. citizens or people here legally, that is all. If you don't like it, if the situations are that bad, then leave, don't come here where you're not wanted, and complain. Mexicans are not the hardest working people around, they just have the most labor intensive jobs, if they were hard working they would go to college after work and work for a better life, don't tell me because they are mexican they can't do better for themselves, and because someone else is white they always have five bucks in their pocket. Where would prison money come from, until they can be deported, from the money that is saved from the billions that goes into all the beneifts they receive, like free college, drivers licenses, etc. Don't make the prison conditions that good anyway, they don't need a bed, they get the floor, the better you make the more eager they are to stay, have you ever heard someone who didn't mind being in a North Korean prison? I know prison guards, and at thanksgiving time people start committing crimes that set them up for two or three months because they eat like kings for thanksgiving and christmas. Time for the shadow deif method, been here a month, time for a whipping. From what I've heard, yes, people from Scandanvia, Denmark I'm absolutly sure of, have been involved with peace keeping operations. But as a smaller group of soldiers or what not. The military isnt built up of over a million soldiers. But they offer quite a large amout of aid, such a food, blankets, clothes and medical. From what I heard, the Danes have the only mobile surgical vehicle in Iraq or/Afganistan as a result of the war. They do have troops involed with the UN, so thats also where some of the support comes from.
But frankly, immigration is a problem everywhere. In Sweden it's pretty bad, since they started letting just about anybody in. They are showing commercials on Swedish television where immigrants are playing bingo. The main prize turns out to be full permission of stay in the country. They rest... they get bags of coffee.
