Meanwhile, a source with Newt Gingrich's campaign confirmed the former House speaker also requested protection. The source did not know when the paperwork was submitted but said discussions about putting in the request began last week.

Good for Frothy getting a security detail. He's going to need it when his creepy son goes after him for ruining the family name.

I still cannot believe there were no good Christian conservatives anywhere on sight this election. The three remaining are Catholics and Mormon. Ron Paul is Christian and may be the best fiscal conservative out there, but is much too weak on defending our nation and protecting Christian values. Rick Perry was Christian, but was no fiscal conservative. Michelle Bachman was close, but... she... well, why would I be voting someone in who would submit to her husband on all things? Aren't I really voting for her husband?

America is doomed.

There's one. He's a little bit too far to the right on social issues for my tastes, but his budget proposal includes tax rates that are even lower than they were under Ronald Reagan.

The GOP is so weak, the best they can muster is a man beaten in a re-election bid by 18 points.
The best part is, he was the GOP's 3rd ranking senator.
