As I was the Friday date, she had volunteered she had a date the night before. She then said her weekend was pretty busy. So I asked how many other guys she had a date with that weekend.

The idea of serially committing to a single person while searching for someone to be a life partner is rather stupid. You just aren't going to sample enough people to understand what really works for you. "going steady" used to be a transition from dating, not the default type of dating.

I think for some people, "dating" is kind of a trial "try before you buy" period that remains non sexual. By the time they make it sexual they move to a relationship. Thus, for now, they are "single" enjoying courtship from multiple men.

I can't say for sure, just what I've noticed. I always found it silly to be taking someone on a date you weren't already in a relationship, especially if that meant expensive meals and drinks, hoping in exchange for sex. Not sure how I could take somebody seriously after that. But these do seem to be the girls that complain the loudest about men.

Dating isn't (supposed) to be expensive meals and drinks hopefully in exchange for sex, it's suppsed to be a series of social encounters during which the respective parties can learn about each other and assess their mutual compatability, and determine if they are interested in proceeding into a relationship.

Of course, sex really shouldn't be 'in exchange' for anything- two people having sex should be doing so because they both want to- and why wouldn't they; sex is awesome. The problem really comes from the regressive sexual attitudes in the States- many Americans insist on perpetuating this mindset that for a woman sex is a chore, something to be tolerated only when necessary, and sometimes allowed as a reward for good behaviour- so of course a woman who has sex more often than 'when she can't avoid it' must have something wrong with her.

Also, the mindset of "it's easy for women to get laid" is irritating. While there is some truth in to the idea that any woman can find a man who will have sex with her, the chances of this being someone she wants to have sex with are less than 100%. Different people look for different levels of intimacy to accompany sex- some people, male and female, enjoy and are happy with casual, almost anonymous sex, others, again both male and female, prefer sex to be part of a more intimate relationship. There's nothing wrong with either mindset, as long as nobody tries to make everybody follow their own personal preferences.

Oh, and to the guys yelling "slut" or "whore" or whatever: tone it down a bit, you're not helping anybody.
I have to assume you're not 'getting any' (based on my own experiences on how I became much more relaxed about this whole topic after I started 'getting some'), but do you really think acting like that is going to do anything to improve or alter your situation?
1) By ridiculing women who openly embrace their sexuality, you discourage other women from doing the same, thereby reducing increases to the segment of the population who might be interested in having sex with you.

2) By attaching such a negative connotation to sexual activity, you are broadcasting that you are not interested in sex, thereby dissuading women who might have been interested in having sex with you.

3) By focusing your displeasure with your situation on women who will not have sex with you, you are ignoring 50% of the sex equasion. Perhaps you're approaching the wrong sort of woman and should instead redirect your efforts to a different venue (instead of a bar or club, try a bookstore or cooking class, for example), or it might be that you need to improve or change something about yourself (new wardrobe, lose weight, gain confidence when talking to new people) and there are ways to work to improve all of these things.

Personally, I think it also helps when sex is not the goal, but a byproduct of finding a fulfilling relationship, but then I'm one of those "prefers sex accompanied by a higher level of intimacy" guys myself.

Start by trying to get women to like you, rather than to have sex with you.
