ZAZ: Don't all kids get strep throat (and ear infections)? I never knew it was optional.
bhcompy: Never had strep as a kid. Was misdiagnosed with strep a few weeks ago. Was actually hand foot and mouth disease. Worst experience of my life.
SacriliciousBeerSwiller: Funny headline despite the typo. Typo. Typo. 1234 1234 1234.. . .
numb3r5ev3n: Part of me is wanting to hold off on jumping onto this bandwagon until further peer reviewed research takes place...and part of me things this could explain a lot of what is wrong with my head./Officially diagnosed with OCD as a teen//had strep twice///dammit somuch.
The_Homeless_Guy: This isn't anything new. It's been known for years (to the point that it is in most introductory psychiatry books) that there is a link between strep infection and some forms of OCD. As someone pointed out it is called PANDAS.
johnson442: The second line has an even number of characters. And a misspelled word.Should have been spelled "painful", but then the second line would have had only 60 characters and, thus being an even number, been dissimilar to the first and third lines which have 47 and 45 characters, respectively. However, substituting the word "truly" would have resulted in an odd-numbered line and a symmetrical 3-line headline with each line having an odd number of characters. Not to mention that the number "3", being the count of lines in the headline as a whole is odd also, thus making the number of "odd" items in the headline "4", which is actually an even number and would then render the entire effort null and void as far as a consistent format goes.
