By close of play next Sunday, United could be 11 points clear of Spurs, or one point behind, or any number of things in between. I think I'd prefer the first option, to be honest.

For Newcastle's first goal yesterday, the goalkeeper and a defender were on the goal line, but one of the other Wolves players (Stearman, I think, don't quote me) had his hand in the air looking for offside. I love it when that happens. Just the stupidity of it all.

Watching today out of morbid curiosity. Either Arsenal gets a badly needed shot in the arm, or the Wenger/Van Persie era is over.

No pressure

Sir Ryan plays his 900th game and this is his 500th Premier League start.

Norfolking Chance: ScouserDuck: drewogatory: Secondly, I'll have you know that next year will be our year. We've been on a bidecade rebuilding plan. City will win the league this year and well be tied with the mancs at 19 in 2013.

Christ, I've been a 'pool supporter for 35 years and even I think this is optimism bordering on delusion. We would need a huge amount of investment, a new stadium,a complete overhaul of the squad and likely a new manager to attract top tier international talent. Without Champion's League, players and agents would want to see Man City levels of spending before commiting to a mid table team. No, we'll continue to buy overpriced homegrown talent, stretch our squad to the breaking point if we do win the FA and sneak into the Europa, and finish between 6th and 10th again.

The "next year is our year" thing has become the fark pool supporters new mantra. We say it every year.

Liverpool are one place above Norwich at the moment.

Just saying.

In my original analysis, I used the phrase "bidecade rebuilding period". Just sayin'

At some point (read: when I'm done paying off all of my college debt), I've gotta go to Wembley. Wish I could be there today honestly.

Hope my Reds pull off the win.

Its going to be a long day for Norwich but with Holt and Jackson up front Norwich have a good chance of scoring at least one goal against Ferdinand and Evans as i don't think Evans has got the strength to hold of Holt. With Morrison and Hoolahan as subs Lambert has a some good options to mix thigs up.

The problem for Norwich is that the defense is good against a more robust Stoke/Championship attack but looks half a step behind teams that are good pass and move sides. The movement of Welbeck and Hernandez will realy test them.

Overall i think it will be a 2-1 to ManU if Nani has an off day.

But you never know Scholes may get his first red card after coming back and that could give Norwich the chance.

I managed to get to the old Wembly and while it was really run down at the end when you walked out of the underground station and had Wembly way stretch for a mile to the towers it made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

Oh my. While I could probably stomach 14 car bombs. 14 shots of straight whiskey is a LOT.

Chicken Carbonara and a gin and tonic for match food. An odd match, but I don' have ingredients to make anything else at the moment.

\Pulling for Norwich, Tottenham, and Swans

Okay I'm up, I'm up. Ugh. I feel like a bag of smashed assholes but I'm semi-coherent. Debating the merits of drinking before sunrise.

To Gonz and the other Spurs supporters out there (I believe That Asscobra77 and Mr_H are also of the same poor judgment), I respect you as farkers but hope Arsenal beats your team soundly today. The odds are against the Gunners in their current form, but I will hope against hope.

Woo, finally get to watch a game Live today (Saturdays are always so busy, everything is tape delayed).

Hoping Cardiff beats 'Pool today, only cause of the underdog element. (I don't think it'll happen to be realistic).

Langston:

Heh. :)

Wow, Saha scores already...that was quick. Good start.

Once again Arsenal's Maginot Line defense works perfectly.

New coach please.......

Let me just say that the only reason I went up and got a beer just now is a hangover tried to show itself and it felt like a deatheater

I don't understand this comment.

Benny defending in the corner, terrible foul call, heads almost caught up arses, RVPs misses obvious chance.

I'm sober but I'm skipping my AA meeting to watch the CC final, so we'll see how long that lasts.
