Well...I had a whole funny thing posted comparing the apparently swinging Hawking to the swinging Stefon from SNL, but it was deleted because the headline was fixed. Can we pretend I made a funny?

Sounds about right. The book his first wife wrote about their marriage breaking up ended with him demanding he be allowed to spend part of the week with his mistress but he'd come home for a few days to spend some time with the family. He still wanted his wife to manage his medical care while he was with his mistress, though.

Hawking is a genius, but he's apparently also a grade-A asshole. Both traits often go hand-in-hand.

Still, I guess he has enough money to pay for his medical care for the rest of his life, so he may as well spend the extra on hookers and blow. His second wife physically abused the hell out of him, so his already low opinion of women probably went rock-bottom.

Having gone through all that, I'd be getting in all the sexing I could too.

"Cooler?" or more pathetic? He seems to be a very shallow person.

Shallow people have very few life experiences and are not worthy of a lot of respect, just like whores.

Well, asking doesn't make him a scumbag.* I only consider him a scumbag if he did it anyway (which he likely did, so yeah, he's a scumbag).

Exactly, accomplished men farking around isn't news. I'm sure there are some good Jackie O' quotes about that.

So were a lot of other physicists. Then there's Erwin Schrodinger who was balls deep in his mistress of the time when he came up with his wave equation. Oh yeah, his wife knew, and approved. Then again, she was free to have a boyfriend any time she wanted, and she had oh a few.
