Well, first decide what you want your conclusion to be, then shift the phrasing of the question so as much evidence as possible appears to support it.

I, for one, and shocked that any member of the GOP would ever utter a single false statement. Shocked, I tell you.

I'm sure we'll hear this a lot more. Serial adulterer Gingrich is a known pathological liar.

Didn't see any point in watching it. I turned on the live feed for about 30 seconds, heard the same old "Well the governor did... Well the representative did... Wah wah wah..." and turned it off. None of those clowns stands a chance of being elected this fall.

I didn't listen to but a few minutes last night - a statement by Santorum was too stupid to take the chance of hearing more. He defended his use of earmarks by noting that earmarks saved the V-22 Osprey program, and that plane is now the most important aircraft used by Marines.

I just though if you're going to use something as an example of how earmarks can be used for good, you should come up with something better than a plane that took 26 years to go from drawing board to field use. I know guys that took out extra life insurance when they found out they were going to be crash test dummies for that thing.

Oh, and I caught a second of Gingrich's claim that fully securing the border would result in lower costs to Arizona's state government, while conviently forgetting the increased costs on the part of the federal government for stationing a soldier every 10 feet to keep the messicans out.

The Osprey is now one of the safest aircraft in the air. Seriously. Its flight mishap rate is less than half that of the rest of the fleet. The design took quite a while to get right, but it's now an excellent aircraft that the Marines and spec ops love to use.

I liked the part where Gingrich was howling about fiscal conservation and in the same breath went on about how more money needs to be spent on keeping illegals out.

That's when I remembered that the debate was in Arizona.

Even if they were telling the truth, it reflects a worldview that I find abhorrent: demanding anything of the wealthiest is evil, poor people and government workers ("servants," says Romney) are lazy cheats, and the way to create strong families is to ban abortion and birth control and lock up the queers.

A bunch of wealthy religious-fringe lunatics who know nothing of life in the real world.

FTA: Maybe so, but increases in the debt ceiling were not politically charged in the past as they are now. They just allow the government to pay bills run up by previous Congresses. To not pay them would be like deciding to stop paying a car loan or mortgage

See what I did there?

My favorite point last night was when they all started trying to outdo each other on Armageddon scenarios while trying to justify spending more on the military and cutting social programs.

OMG, we are all gonna be bombed by brown people!
OMG, we are all gonna be bombed and RAPED by brown people!!
OMFG, they are gonna steal our babies and bomb and rape us if we don't get another aircraft carrier to fight their camels and sand!!!

I don't like freeloaders any more than the next guy, but to argue that the biggest waste of money can be found in social programs and not the military-industrial-complex Goliath is asinine and getting old.

Then they went on to argue that we need more military toys. Really?

According to The Committee For a Responsible Federal Budget, all of the candidates' plans will actually increase the debt. Even RON PAUL, after selling off the entire US infrastructure to the new generation of robber barons (and his friends at StormFront), won't be able to bring it down.

Gingrich saying he was going to build a big wall between Arizona and Mexico. This, of course, was his response to the question "Do you agree with Romney's budget ideas?" or something similar.

Yet I was listening to Commie Radio this morning and some old white guy had the vapors at the thought of another four years of Obama: "I'm almost 80 and I would think about moving out of this country if he got reelected. It wouldn't actually happen, but I really think he is destroying this country."

I looked up santorum's position on Lybia (since I seem to remember him speaking out agaisn the presidnet) becasue of what he said we should be doing in Syria. And it seem his position wasn;t going in good or bad, it was if the president thinks we should it is bad.

These guys aren't even trying anymore.

I'm pretty sure that Santorum is so anti-abortion because his wife was getting boned by an abortion doctor for six years before the two met. It's perfectly reasonable.

How come when AP's fact checks call Obama on his b.s. there is an outcry of "right-wing, corporate dogs" but when they do the same thing to the Republicans it's treated as if it came down from the mount in tablet form?

I understand what you're getting at, but I think the way that you phrased it is a bit misleading. If you read the report you linked to it indicates that under Ron Paul's plan the debt would likely be several percentage points of GDP lower than if we continued under the current baseline, even though it would be greater than it is today. Newt Gingrich's plan, not surprisingly, would see our debt skyrocket and Santorum's would as well. Romney's would keep it about at the same percentage of GDP, or possibly slightly higher, as it is currently expected to be.

When you consider the significant, and many here would argue draconian, cuts that he is suggesting and then realize that even with those cuts the debt will continue to grow in both size and as a percentage of GDP, it really underscores the severity of our fiscal problems.

My 70 year old father lives in Montana. No TV. One radio station, a FOX (or whateverthefark affiliate). First thing in the morning, every morning, talking points on why "Obama is the worst President in American history". Stories all day about how the country is falling to pieces. Near the end of my trip, he actually said to me, "Obama is the worst President ever". I asked him to clarify, then I pointed out little things like the role of congress, and events that were set in motion during the Bush presidency. He retreated to "Yeah, both sides are bad".

I haven't talked to him since, and see no need to.

Bullshiat.
AP doesn't do a horrid job of fact checking, but when wrong we call it out, and unlike conderpatives we can back stuff up with data (often peer reviewed) conservatives use WND, FR, Brietbart & Fox Nation as primary sources. Our biggest issue is fact checkers committing the false ecquivalency fallacy, like POLITIFACT.

I would say that they are the same kind of people as those who kept claiming that if W won a second term in 2004 that they were going to leave the country. The people saying that they will leave if Obama is elected are just about as likely to actually do so as the masses of people who claimed that for Bush, which is to say not very. I'm not expecting any more of an exodus now than I did then.
