beantowndog: Meh.

I'd expect no less & wouldn't be too happy either if I were a Sox fan. But I'm not, so I find it funny as hell!

The Cubs have been completely honest that this is a rebuilding year, as will be 2013 and probably 2014. So, yes, they probably are already eliminated from the playoffs. I'm prefectly fine with it, though, knowing that they are FINALLY building the organization the right way from the top down.

You build organizations bottom up. Get a solid base in the minors and then add ML free agents to fill the holes.

Dont think the RedSox have a claim, but since JetBlue is a trademarked name they can dispute it and most likely will prevail.

Because most Red Sox fans dont know or care what the name of the Sox' spring training park is, much less have any desire to visit said park's website?

I'm a Sox fan and I think it's funny.

If I were trying to find it I would go to RedSox.com before I went anyplace else.

But then he can link the site to a BDSM site ora streaming cam of a landfill, etc... until the dispute is settled, which likely would be after the pre-season is over.

Well, you have to start with the executives. THAT'S what the Cubs have been missing: ownership and management that is modernized beyond the 1950s.

What I meant from the top down is that the Cubs just finished work on a manual called The Cubs' Way that describes organizational philosophies of how the game should be played. The team will draft and coach players to this manual, and players will be accountable to it. It's all about things like seeing more pitches per at-bat, situational base running, etc.

That, I think, is the best way to build up the minor leagues. Then we won't have situations like Starlin Castro, the future franchise player, not paying attention to the game while he's at shortstop and Bobby Valentine calling him and the organization out on national TV.

This. How you don't register your domain names the nanosecond the possible choices are even thrown out there in committee is beyond me.

Being mathematically eliminated in March somehow beats the manner in which the Sox were eliminated last year.

Wait. So what you're saying is that an url that no one cares about goes to the Yankees website? This is an outrage....I guess.

Dear Subby,

Cubs games have long since been about drinking beer in the bleachers, not winning.

Wrigley is the biggest bar in Chicago that just happens to have a professional baseball game going on for entertainment.
