Here's a lovely example of comma addiction from the slideshow:
"Football legend, Jim Brown, is not only known for being one of the greatest players in the NFL, but he was also an integral part of the Blaxploitation genre."
Comma addiction is a real-world disease that destroys journalism. We need to stop this dreadful poison before it damages our fragile republic.

I watched Truck Turner about 8 or 9 years ago. I didn't see a lot of blaxploitation stuff as a kid, but I watch it these days when I get a chance.
I had never seen Nichelle Nichols in anything but Star Trek. When I first saw her in Truck Turner, my first thought was, "Hey, it's Uhura! That's cool..." and then when she started cussing up a storm and drawing parallels between one of her whores and fried chicken, I spit soda all over myself in surprise.
Truck Turner is solidly in my top 10 movies I've ever seen and a good 95% of that has to do with 'ho-keeping Uhura.

Had the same experience with the woman who played "Aunt Esther" on "Sanford and Son" when I saw "Shakes the Clown." Still remember her lines in the movie too, and it's been probably 20 years since I've seen it, it was that shocking to me.

I always saw Truck Turner as a movie about a pussy-whipped loser who was just barely competent enough to get the job done that he's paid to do.

In 1974, A good friend of mine's father, Rockne Tarkington starred in "Black Samson" a heartwarming tale of a nightclub owner, his lady, his walking stick, and his lion.
He also played Elihu Morgan on "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour", on the "Danger Island" show which made Jan Michael Vincent famous, and created a kiddie meme in the phrase "Uh oh, Chongo!".
My friend's mom was Elvis' love interest in "Blue Hawaii".
That's her, in your grandma's bikini.
