She's right, and should win. However, it pisses me off that the people responsible will pay nothing. The taxpayers and the district's insurance company will pay. Hopefully she will use the money to access therapy services for her daughter.

That's a pretty vague statement. Was he introduced to the images by a priest or someone else in authority, or was it some classmate fooling around on the internet, or was it just a B.S. story designed to hit every molestation hot button in order to garner sympathy?

If kids want the teachers unions to care when they get molested they need to start paying dues.

I'm conflicted on this one.

On the one hand, someone who is accused, but not convicted of a crime, should not be punished for it. Otherwise any kid who doesn't like a teacher can get rid of him/her and ruin their life by simply making false accusations of sexual misconduct.

OTHO, if a teacher is accused of molesting a child, prudence requires that he/she be kept away from children...

Maybe the solution is to suspend with pay (so as not to punish victims of false accusations) any accused teacher and to swiftly conduct an investigation into the matter

even a classmate at seminary shouldn't be looking at kiddie porn. OTOH it is seminary.

Oh, no one should be looking at it at all, but if it was an official of the seminary it makes it far more of an institutional problem than if it was just another student.

This anti-labor attitude is why Oregon is one of, if not the, most labor-hostile, corporate-friendly states in the country. Redirect your hate to someone who deserves it instead of what raises everyone's standard of living, union or not.
