If not, though, there's no charitable deduction for donations to SuperPACs and similar organizations. Charitable deductions exist only for 501(c)(3) nonprofits (to varying degrees depending on whether the donee is a public charity or a private foundation), which are not allowed to engage in political activities in support of or opposition to a candidate for office (so SuperPACs can never be 501(c)(3)s). SuperPACs are nonprofit organizations, but not all nonprofits are charities (most are not).

I used to work for Sheldon at one of his Strip Properties. It was THE worst casino job I ever had. That said, a good tax lawyer could put together a non profit that advocates societal change in non-partisan way that you could support with your funds and if, oh my, you happened to inadvertently promote one individual's political aspirations in the process -
