Ask James Marsden about what moonlighting in a Superman reboot will do for your Marvel career.

Bill Murray had actually headbutted (McG) on the set of Charlie's Angels

Is there any possible way that Bill could be more of a pimp? I don't think so.

The act of headbutting McG should put Bill Murray on the Nobel Prize shortlist, as far as I'm concerned.

How do you get Bill Murray in an action comedy and give him nothing to do? "McG" (I mean really? He's neither a rapper nor a 12 year old) was lucky to get away with a head butting.

It's messed up all the way around, stupid name and all.

In any event, I'd also like to think of it as a preemptive headbutt for Terminator: Salvation. Cripes and a half.

Any actor who's cast in a McG project should have written into their contract the privilege of punching McG in the face at least once a day.

Um...No.

RDJr. is the perfect Tony Stark. He'd be a shiat Luthor. You don't just need smarm and self love, you need someone who could never admit to being wrong. Think bald Donald Trump (redundant, i know)

That movie wasn't THAT bad. The biggest thing that bugged me was when Reese springs SkyNet's carefully planned trap (I'll let TVTropes sum it up for me):

SkyNet successfully lures a completely unsuspecting John Connor into a well-planned trap of its own design, and instead of greeting him with a bomb, nerve gas, or even an army of robots, it sends one terminator to kill him (and doesn't even bother to give it a gun!). SkyNet also doesn't send the T-800 any backup even after it becomes obvious the plan isn't going quite as intended. The Terminator does terribly, batting John around like a kitty with a ball of yarn rather than snapping his neck. You'd think SkyNet would take absolutely no chances given the amount of effort it spends on killing Connor later on (multiple time travel attempts, etc.)

Maybe he should just stick to TV.

Movie McG, godawful.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree there, amigo.

Yeah, there were more than a few logical problems with T4, but I'm just gonna leapfrog all of that and say "DAMN YOU, McG!!!" while shaking a defeated fist at the sky.

Hm. Yes. He has not made a single film that I have enjoyed, but all of those shows, save The OC, I enjoy very much (I haven't seen the OC, so that's not a knock against it).

Terminator Salvation was a good, well-made movie...

The entire canon of 'Terminator', on the other hand, is retarded through and through.

McG is a stupid name, but the guy can make a great film.

OK - for eleventybillionth time: STOP REBOOTING shiat.

One reboot worked brilliantly. The rest suck ass. It's time for Hollywood to come up with original ideas.

Seriously - do they want to be like the damn theatre where 1/2 the plays are about how funny Catholic school was the 1/2 pomo Shakespeare drivel?

Yes the show that became the Subway/car ad Hour instead of getting canceled and leaving with dignity intact and the audience wanting more.

Ithanks to a boldly different take from screenwriter J.J. Abrams, would have made wholesale changes to the origins of Superman, his home planet Krypton, and his main nemesis Lex Luthor.

That would have been awesome. He could have pissed off the comic book nerds as well as the Star Trek nerds.

He didn't write the damn thing. At least try and justify an illogical hatred for the right reasons.

And the Charlie's Angels films are the very definition of guilty pleasures. Besides, they're more Drew Barrymore's vision than his.

The fourth season was better. The OC is one of the most startlingly amazing TV series ever. Probably the most character development over the course of the series other than maybe Lost.

As I recall, in the JJ Abrams script Lex Luthor was secretly an undercover Kryptonian spy, a reveal that would act as a cliffhanger for the sequel. Other proposed changes pulled from memory include Krypton not being destroyed (so they could have a super-powered Kryptonian civil war) and that Superman's powers come from his suit. My memory may be fuzzy on this.

On the plus side, he didn't fight any polar bears.

Right, that had the dialogue "IT WAS MINE!" in reference to a second Kryptonian, ship, yes?

There's no way Robert Downey Jr. has a billion dollars.

Let's see.

Lex Luthor: Brilliant but Troubled... check; but he's not *actually* recovering from anything. So, no. RDJ can't play him.

Doubtful. Given all the trouble he was in during the 90s, I wouldn't be surprised his defense lawyer got most of that Iron Man money.

Dealers and Betty Ford took the rest.

He had exactly farkall to do with anything with regards to Chuck after the pilot episode. They just left the credits as having him be executive producer because, fark it, who cares. He didn't write for the show, he didn't give creative input after the pilot, or anything like that.

Good thing, too, because if he had, he probably would have turned Chuck into the same gods-awful trash he tried to turn the American Spaced into before the suits said "fark this" and pulled the plug.

Sort of.

McG took the premise and tried to run with it, without actually contacting Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, or Jessica Hynes. He got the funds to do a pilot, but nothing ever came of it, because McG's a hack and needs to be kicked in the teeth.

I didnt watch the show much (way too much angst), but when I did, Luthor behaved logically and, hell, reasonably for the most part. His motivation seemed to be "These kryptonite-poisoned super beings and especially THIS super being are a global threat that must be dealt with"

can say as I blame him, frankly.
