Again, to be fair, he was using a dating site. Not cruising for boy toys and getting blown in the back of the squad car by twinks that he was busting. His sister Lucy has been dishing dirt about the family for a while now. If there is any truth to her stories, it's a big, horrible train wreck of abuse and rape.

This is what bothers me about this whole situation: The newspaper that first filed the report didn't make anything up, there were no anonymous calls, no rumors they chased down for months. The ex-boyfriend went to the press with his story, and the press covered it. No "political motivation" here. This whole persecution thing is bothering me, same with farking Arpaio, the charges are "political", the timing coincides with some special anniversary. No matter when the Justice Department would have released their findings, he would have blamed it on some OTHER political scandal and say the timing was "politically motivated". Both these morons are asshats.

And to set the record straight, so to speak, I don't think that before this broke that Babeau made any statements regarding gays or gay rights at all, so you can't really call him a "hypocrite" just because he's a gay Republican, it's not the only thing they stand for. There are other gay Republicans(Besides the Larry Craig types), such as the Log Cabin Republicans, and people don't call them hypocrites. Also, the ex-boyfriend is a citizen, so he's not a hypocrite for "dating an illegal", as some say, and I don't remember him being anti-immigrant, just anti-illegal immigrant, so that doesn't make him a hypocrite either.

He's an A-hole, but we need to at least have the facts straight, so we are calling him out for the RIGHT reasons, most notably the media whore aspect that he has picked up from Arpaio.
