(Canada.com) Dumbass It would appear that the scheme of giving your license to a stranger, leaving the scene of the crash, and returning hours later to the scene of the crash after pounding back two shots of vodka to evade charges wasn't entirely accurate   (canada.com) divider line 20

do you really "pound back" two shots of vodka? "pounding back" kind of has the connotation of consuming a large quantity of alcohol.

Arrgh, I gave me license to a stranger, yar.

The scheme was about as accurate as this headline.

Sobey said Robinson told him about his history of alcohol abuse, including that he had a family history.

Oh no, my family has a history - one of my distant uncles fought alongside George Washington during the French and Indian War.
God knows how many motorcyclists I may have killed without even realizing I was at risk.

/scary

That info would have been a lot more useful to me yesterday subby.

I wanted to run the headline through Google translate, but I'm not sure what the source language is.

Yesterday someone testified that he'd given instructions at a party some time before this accident on how to avoid a breathalyzer.

And that is exactly what he did. He's not been charged with DUI, he's charged with obstructing justice, so his instructions didn't work out quite as planned.

The hell it didn't! He killed someone!!! If they prove DUI, he's going to prision for a decade at least! Obstruction? I doubt that long.

This. I would gladly take an obstruction charge over a DUI

"Then he said if ever you're drinking and driving and get into an accident you should leave your licence at he scene of the accident and if you're close to home or close to a bar you should go and take a few shots and then return to the scene because they can never prove if you drank before or after the accident," Rough said.

This plan definitely works if it is a single car accident with no witnesses.
