Kiss, Faith No More and Queen with Adam Lambert

Lambert? WTF? That's like Kool And The Gang opening for Van Halen.

2012-02-21 01:07:32 AM
Feel free to remove Kiss from that list. I won't mind.

Faith No More and Incubus are definitely awesome shows I'd like to see again.

I cannot find a Kiss + Queen + Faith No More mashup. So, please enjoy the closest I can find, an AC/DC + Queen + Faith No More mashup.

A mercury-less queen? No thanks
Kiss? No, never, no thank you.
Faith no More. Sure.

KISS stopped being cool about 15 years ago or more.
Queen, 20.
FNM was never that good in the first place.

Queen without Freddy is no Queen to me.

Not really Queen, Faith no more or even KISS.

Jim Martin was never really that important to the sound of FNM. I know a lot of people didn't like the direction of the band after he left, but if you've ever heard his solo record "Milk and Blood," it's f'ing god-awfully bad. He even tried a cover of "Surprise! You're Dead" and THAT didn't even sound good.

Kiss was never, ever cool. Not even a little bit. Queen was actually cool almost 40 tears ago. FNM was cool for about 5 minutes.

Queen died when Freddie did. He was 50% of that band. May was 40%, Taylor and Deacs were the rest. Calling what currently exists Queen is even less accurate than calling Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey "the Who" (hey, at least they were the main frontmen), or Paul McCartney and Ringo "the Beatles".

Would I go see Brian May in concert though? Fark yes.

Tor_Eckman: Queen was actually cool almost 40 tears ago.

Er, Queen was founded 41 years ago, you don't leave much of a window there. I can point to definitive evidence that they were cool as late as 1986.

Yeah, it's like the Misfits without Glen, The Dead Kennedys without Jello, or Alice in Chains without Lane.

Queen died in 1991 along with Freddy. Whoever they have on vocals is just a shallow imitation of the greatest front man of all time.

Love Queen & FNM, but I'd rather just listen to the albums with the good line-ups, y'know.

KISS is KISS, a triumph of marketing over talent, but Detroit Rock City is fun to drunken karaoke to.

2012-02-21 10:08:06 AM
KISS might've been meh, but Paul Stanley as The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera was pretty damn good.

2012-02-21 10:13:24 AM
KISS jumped the shark when they had a couple of imposters dress up in Peter and Ace makeup...totall bullshiat. That's Paul and Gene's way of shiatting on their fans for 38 years of support. Nice.

LucklessWonder: Queen died in 1991 along with Freddy. Whoever they have on vocals is just a shallow imitation of person the remaining members of the band feel would give a good respectful tribute to Freddie , knowing full well, just like every other breathing soul on this planet, that no one can replace, and no one is trying to replace or imitate, the greatest front man of all time.

FTFY ...

do you guys ever get tired of saying the same things in every thread on the same topic?

KISS jumped the shark when they started dressing like clowns and singing songs in front of people.

I'd go for FNM, but that's about it.

my parents took me to the circus when i was a kid. it didn't have as many explosions, but the music was on par and there were a lot more clowns. i figure i have enough to go on.
