Sorry. I'm at an age where I just need nurses to do their jobs. Two hours in a recovery cot last week, freezing. From beyond the curtains, it sounded like they were having a good time. Laughing. I even heard them say my last name, as in, who's this Doolittle patient? Yours or mine? I called out, that's me. I'm here. They ignored me.

Seriously, two hours alone in a curtained-off cot. Freezing, post-sedatives, and no visits from doctors or nurses. No offer of fluids or anything to make me more comfortable, or just warmer. Hooked up to so many monitors I could not get out of the cot to ask for help.

The hospital is very much like my car dealer. It is up-front in asking for a 5 out of 5 ranking for service. I got a call from the hospital two days later. The woman who called was calling to figure out if I would rank them a 5. I said no, and why. She said, well, thank you for calling us. She had called me.

I don't expect to be surveyed.
