And Ibaka scored a triple double in the same game. If these three remain healthy, the Miami OKC finals will be epic. And OKC will win, because the NBA wants the championship to remain elusive for LeBron. Storyline. Ratings.

Farking hell, how bad is Cole Aldrich that they won't give him Nazr Mohammed's minutes?

They did need overtime tho.

The score makes me whimsical about the 80s when it seemed like every other Nuggets game was a score of 145-138 in regulation.

That was a great game to watch. Kevin Durant just sort of determined that it was time to win the game and, no matter what, you weren't going to stop him. A couple threes and a couple drives for layups. Very impressive. And, Ibaka with the tough triple-double.

Miami vs OKC in June. Plskthx.

The 0 assists make me sad. I'm hoping he becomes the first person since David Robinson to post a Quadruple Double.

Yeah it's frustrating to see such a talented player make such bad decisions sometimes. He has the ability to do to the Thunder what Jeremy Lin does for the Knicks, except RW is 2x as fast

So is this the NBA thread where farkers share their rambling David Stern conspiracy theories or is it the one where farkers tell us they don't care about the NBA but feel compelled to tell everyone anyway?

David Stern has ruined the NBA by allowing thugs free reign while controlling his little fiefdom to the detriment of America and college basketball is much better to watch

mitchcumstein1: Farking hell, how bad is Cole Aldrich that they won't give him Nazr Mohammed's minutes?

It's too bad, since I thought he was a shoe-in to be the next Nick Collison at a minimum. Should have stuck around another year...

Jeremy Lin does for the Knicks, except RW is 2x as fast

Jeremy Lin also turns the ball over 7-8 times per game.

He's going to kill the Knicks in the playoffs against good defensive teams.

NBA sucks I never watch it and I came into this thread specifically to tell everyone how little I care about the NBA.

This is me ignoring the NBA.

Him turning the ball over 7-8 times a game still gives them a far better chance in the playoffs than having Iman Shumpert (who literally has no understanding of the PG position and his only "move" with the ball is to go straight ahead) or the cadaver that wears a "Mike Bibby" jersey run the point.

Lin has plenty of room to grow & develop, but I don't know if there's a real appreciation for just how much of a black hole the PG position was for the Knicks as of three weeks ago. Beno Udrih, while blindfolded and with one arm tied behind is back would've been considered a significant upgrade.

Hate to turn this into another Lin thread, but he turned it over a bunch of times against a good defensive team yesterday and the Knicks were still ok. I think with his style of play, a higher-than-average number of turnovers is almost inevitable.

But he does need to cut it down. I do think he'll learn.

While I'll watch CBB any day of the week, and think David Stern is a douche, this has been one of the most watchable NBA seasons in recent memory. Too bad SportsCenter overdoes it with a few select teams, and is largely unwatchable.

I'm not saying he's not the best started for the Knicks right now. Just point out things will chance in the playoffs when teams are game-planning every day for him.

Even with the TO's and the impending Carmelo Factor, the Knicks are at a minimum the 6th best team in the East right now, 5th if you assume the Hawks are going to be a non-factor again come playoff time. I could absolutely see this Knicks team beating Philly and Chicago (let Rose get his, concentrate on shutting down Deng and Boozer, and hope Rip, Watson, and Korver don't kill you from the outside) in the first two rounds and all of the sudden find themselves in the ECF v. Miami.

I'm really hoping NBC Sports gives ESPN a run for the money in actual sports reporting.

But I doubt it, ESPN is a symptom and not a cause of shiatty sports media. Broadcast news is now a revenue and ratings arm, and we're all the worse for it.

i really do like this time better with perkins in there, but it gets remarkably 2 dimensional on the offensive side, perhaps its my own bias here but i really dont like seeing a pt guard taking that many shots (yes he is hitting them), but if they dont develop their offense beyond the 2 man game between westbrook and durant its going to be very hit or miss in a playoff situation.

additionally games like this make westbrook think he is jordan, when he is obviously the pippen of this team

jayhawk88: let Rose get his, concentrate on shutting down Deng and Booze

The only problem with this is that Lin looks really slow on D. "Letting Rose get his" could easily result in 40+. With how good of a defensive team Chicago is, you really don't want that.
