Lsherm: If someone had told me two months ago that Rick Santorum would be pulling a legitimate shot at the nomination, I would have called them crazy.

Any true conservative could have told you that Rick Santorum is the most qualified presidential candidate since Strom Thurmond. The only question is whether or not he can win, with most conservative web site polls having Santorum at somewhere between 240 and 260 percent of the vote. The problem is that a country's smartest individuals tend to be its most reviled, and you can bet that Democrats will campaign mercilessly against any candidate with an IQ above 75. That is what Democrats do. They hate on those who are smarter than them. Now watch in amazement as people call me a "troll" and a "stfu idiot", for destroying their pathetic worldviews and exposing them to the Ubermensch, which is the thing that I am. No one can longer doubt that I am the true successor to Friedrich Nietzsche, and no one can doubt that Rick Santorum will depose the fraudulent Taxbongo Obamaluke from the powers that he usurped. Nietzsche spoke of this moment in Beyond Good and Evil, and I now make it so. I am the Ubermensch. Drink from the chalice. Embrace the Santorum. Rise.

That wasn't exactly what I had in mind. The mistake Mugabe made was in trying to reorganize the country on the basis of "fairness". It wasn't "fair" that those who were in the minority, had the majority of the wealth. So, he took it from them and gave it to those who were in the majority, but had the minority of the wealth.

Sound familiar?

Bravo. I posted that bar chart graphic of "similarity to Hitler," with Obama being more Hitler-like than Hitler, on Facebook and I got seriously bemused comments from conservatives who could tell that something was wrong with that chart but were unwilling to criticize anything that bashed Obama.

The "Wealth" being farmable land. And everyone knows that taking farmland away from people who know how to farm it and giving it to poor people without any training whatsoever in large-scale farming will lead to the people now owning the land to just practice subsistence farming, if even that, and the entire economy, which was Farming-based, will collapse.

Also, the large chunks of land that were given to ruling party members didn't help the economy either.

This is disappointingly subpar for you. And yet, the last couple sentences contain an element which could be really good if fleshed out. Something like:

In a similar way, when Super Tuesday was ended, Our Lord Santorum took the chalice, and giving thanks he said the blessing, and gave the chalice to his disciples, saying:

"Take this, all of you, and drink from it. For this is the chalice of Santorum, of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of Me."

That's why I'm surprised of people here saying they will vote for Santorum in primaries so he can get the nomination. Maybe because they feel Obama would destroy him in debates and the election.

However, alot can happen in the months before the election. If things tank, people will look to the alternative. So no matter how bad, how crazy and how farking disastrous Santorum is, there is STILL a chance of him winning the election if he gets the nomination. The only way to stop that now is if he loses the nomination to Mitt.

The crazy succeed because people are too busy laughing at the crazy for the entertainment to stop them.

Very true. the tears of impotent rage are going to be a thing of beauty.

What concerns me is the GOP has been shovelling the "Obama is the devil and will destroy America!" BS for so long that theres a good chance of us gettign hit by a rash of Oklahoma City type events after election day from misguided "Patriots" who believe they have to save America.

The GOP spent the last 3+ years demonizing Obama. Of course their base isn't going to line up behind a guy like Romney. He's not different enough from Obama, among his plethora of other failures.

When you let people think that the guy in the White House is some kind of Islamo-Marxist usurper, they're going to go for the challenger that looks like his polar opposite.

This race has clearly illustrated that the GOP has no real answers, and has been surviving for the past several years by living off of their unflagging opposition to Obama.

jayhawk88: Javacrucian: If Santorum gets the GOP nomination it's going to be especially sweet when (not if) Obama wins, given that anyone narrow minded enough to vote for Mr. Frothy deserves every ounce of despair they are setting themselves up for. Oh, the far right Christian martyr butthurt is going to be EPIC.

Also would be pretty funny to watch the rest of the GOP try and talk themselves into Santorum. "He doesn't really mean that he would like to remove all women from colleges because it damages the traditional family structure, he just loves this country so damn much that sometimes he says crazy things."

Seems like that's been said about Ron Paul, Gingrich, and Santorum.

Perhaps the GOP should take the hint, and stop promoting crazy people.
