They can if they get on a good run. Look at Phoenix as proof. Their only non-win this month was an SO loss at Vancouver. They've gone from 9th or 10th to 7th and 2 pts out of the Pacific lead (thus my rooting for the Wings today).

/I know, the Pacific is weaker than expected this year but that doesn't mean it's impossible.

No kidding. I feel bad for the Sharks - that's three freak deflection injuries in what, five minutes? And the only one you could maybe blame the Wings for was when Pavelski got hit blocking a shot.
