Back when I was 10 we lived close to IBM. We were playing near the building one day and my friend found a briefcase slap full of micro film blue prints of stuff. We guessed that maybe somebody that worked there was trying to steel them and sale them for money. We thought maybe we could become rich too some how. But when a 10 year tries to tell someone they've got like a billion dollars worth of top secret blue prints, nobody will listen. Then we just threw them away.

violentsalvation: Bathia_Mapes: Jamdug!: Shouldn't he give those back too, then?

RTFA. He turned all the watches he found over to the police.

Holy crap Bathia_Mapes is an admin now. Congrats, ma'am.

/Fark needs a new motto now: "Trolls go in, but they don't come out"

Someone loosing an expensive watch isn't new to me. I work in casinos here in Las Vegas, remember? People lose everything from prosthetic limbs to jewelry worth as much as your retirement fund to a goat (somebody left a goat in their suite).

Cloudchaser Sakonige the Red Wolf: And just one of them is worth 21,000 pounds. If I had that much money, I sure as hell wouldn't spend it on some damn watch when a $20 Casio meets my needs.

You forgot the two bucks.

Bathia_Mapes: In the US. some street sweeper operators work for the municipal government.

WOW! What an accomplishment! I stand corrected. Working for the municipal government? How impressive! Maybe if they stick with it they can work their way all the way up to dogcatcher! Hell, if they keep their nose clean, meter maid might not be out of the question after 10 or 15 years, right?

Bathia_Mapes: Most positions require a special license and training.

Ooooh, impressive. Special license AND training? Do you think the "Special License" they need is almost as hard to get as a forklift license, which, (apparently) according to your standards is another highly prestigious job? And as far as "special training," here's another job that also requires special training.
