I was thinking that, but I've watched plenty of night races and can't remember seeing cars throwing up this many sparks. It's like the second they go sideways there's a huge shower of sparks. They've always thrown up some sparks, but seems like they're throwing up more now.

Which is their tradition. Like some years back when Dodge cars were running faster than GM or Ford cars, they went and changed the rules to punish the Dodge cars in the name of evening things out. Fark, screwing with the rules to affect only Dodge cars is why Chrysler quit NASCAR back in the day.
