lilplatinum: browntimmy: She was hot in that movie because being smart, confident, and mysterious can work on guys too.

Unfortunately tats and facial piercings and gothness all negate that shiat.

Came to talk about this.

There is NO WAY she is a 'natural' blonde. And I've known MANY natural blondes in my life.

Her skin tone is just too pale to have hair that blonde.

Red-head? You bet.
Dark brunette? While I've seen lots of pale women with black hair.

But I have never seen a blonde with skin as pale as her's.

I'm a guy so of course I'm an expert...

That makes absolutely no sense. Natural blondes will almost always have very pale skin.

I'm naturally light blonde and much paler than her. Even paler than my red haired husband!

But you're right, it is highly unlikely that that is anything close to her natural hair color.

It seems whenever a girl says she's a natural blonde, it usually means she was blonde as a child and her hair darkened to some mousy dark blonde shade over time and now she dyes it back to her childhood blonde.

She looks better red either way. Still very pretty as a blonde though. And much prettier than whoever the hell that other chick is.

Unless Zombieland was up for some obscure Academy Award that I never heard of, that never happened.

im just NOT into chicks with shiat in their face and pepsi can size holes in their ears, tats, etc..., so, at the beginning of the movie i was like, "oye, this is gonna be hard to sit thru".
15, maybe 20 minutes later i was like "this chick is actually kinda hot in a weird way".
Half way thru the movie .... i was totally in love with her and her character.
Did some quik google work, they are planning a part 2 kind of thing too, right? or is it 1 or 2 more? i cant remember.
im still not into chicks with shiat in their face/tats etc... but she [the character etc] is an exception.

Emma still does it for me in a big and different way... at first i thought her voice was kinda weird, but... given the chance id wear her thighs like ear muffs all the same.

There are a total of three books, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire, and The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. If you have Netflix, you can not only watch all three of the Swedish movies, but you can watch the much longer and more complete Swedish mini-series that the movies were edited from.

But then people act all weird to your appearance and you act like they have the issue, one of our friends used to have a mohawk and he would get pissy all the time when people stared, we finally had to say "look farker, you have a shiatload of hair standing straight up off your head, its going to draw attention" He was like a real life troll, just dressing like that to get a response from "normies".

Shuna Sassi: I just thought she looked hot, that's all. If that's not your thing that's cool.

Why so aggressive in your response? I'm not out to get anyone, what did I do to you?

She actually cleans up really nicely:

But I still think her sister, Kate, is way hotter...proof below:

And I saved the best for last:

Of all the "making herself look like shiat" pics from that movie, you choose that one? She looks great there, and looks very feminine and cute. Some of the other no-eyebrow bad-haircut photos, I agree, but not that one.

I see your problem. You had one friend who was a dick, and instead of thinking, "Hey, maybe my friend is a dick and it has nothing to do with his hair" you just went and assumed that everyone who dresses/has their hair that way was also a dick. This may come as a terrible shock to you, but there are people in this world who don't chose their hair style or clothing based on how other people might react to it, and some of those people choose to dress in out of the ordinary ways.

Yes... but if you choose to have an appearance well outside of the norm, don't act shocked when people who conform think you're a freak for deviating too far from that norm.

Your appearance is a uniform, advertising to everyone around you your allegiances. When your uniform screams, "I reject everything about everyone else's choices", don't pretend to be surprised when you get rejected right back.

Oh, I'm not suggesting that at all. I'm just pointing out that it's pretty asinine to automatically assume that everyone dresses the way they do solely for the reaction it might garner from other people. When I step outside in my combat boots, black pants, (usually) dark colored t-shirt, black leather duster coat, long hair & long beard, I'm not trying to get a reaction out of people. I'm dressed that way because I find it comfortable and *I* like the way it looks. If other people think I'm a freak, oh well, we'll both manage to get on with our lives.

I have an ex who, for a period of months, let her deathly ill five-year-old son (he's fine now) pick her outfit and hairstyle for the day. She did it to help distract him from the painful and uncomfortable effects of TB and its treatment. She didn't give a fark-all what other people thought of how she was dressed or did her hair, because she was doing it for her kid. Yes, that's a very unusual circumstance, but it sure as hell brings home the point that not everyone dresses or does their hair for anyone other than themselves or the people they care about.

So yeah, my original point stands. If you (the collective 'you') see someone dressed unusually or with strange hair, and your first assumption is that they're an AW or are being childish, that's a sign there's something wrong with you, not with them.

Completely rejecting societal norms and making your life more difficult because you feel more *comfortable* is kind of a side of childishness. Children do whatever they want without worrying about the repercussion, part of growing up is that you don't always get to do what you want.

/and there is no excuse for people who wear Jorts, ever.

Actually, I don't know of any children who always get to do what they want. Do you?

As for rejecting societal norms and making life more difficult being "childishness", that is one of the dumber things I've heard lately. You know, because the women's suffrage movement was totally full of immature women. The civil rights movement was just a bunch of babies. The gay rights movement is really only a bunch of kids who want to always get everything they want.

Note, I am NOT saying that dressing unusually is some sort of political movement or statement, but rejecting societal norms is how societal norms get changed, sometimes for the better. To assume it's a sign of childishness means, once again, that the problem lies with you, not with those rejecting the norm.

Though, I totally agree with you about Jorts.
