First time I've seen the anti gay and anti immigrant projection issues combined.

I still can't get my mind around why any gay person would ever be affiliated with the Republican Party. Seriously - what is so damned attractive about the GOP that people are willing to deny who they are and live a lie to be affiliated with them? I mean, I'm fairly conservative about many things - especially economics and immigration law - but that is not nearly enough to make up for the rest of the platform, or the fact that they want to make me a second-class citizen for being gay, or the fact that their entire goddamn party has devolved into a bunch of farking lunatics.

I simply don't get it.

I did spend several years thinking, "Oh, it's not about gay. It's about changing the Party form the inside - I can vote Republican and still be gay and it's not an issue." But it is an issue. It's pretty farked up, actually.
