Mikel is rusty, and that was a weak goal

I thought that went in?
jeez what a bad year

Now that spector is on I'm obligated to be a brimingham fan. That boy has a lot of talent. He could have been a US regular if things had gone his way.

2012-02-18 08:01:14 AM
this is a good match so far, but why did'y Torres take the PK?
Mata is not a PK taker.

Horrible results but good football considering birmingham plays great defense.
Chelsea needs to set up some chances on the ground instead of the air.

Unreleated hypothetical question: which confederation would have the best all-star team. Clearly Oceania would be sixth (would it have any non-kiwis?), Concacaf would be fifth (USA/Mexico all-stars plus Bryan Ruiz and Wilson Palacios) and Asia a solid fourth. But SA, Europe and Africa would be a toss up. I'd go

1. UEFA
2. CAF
3. CONMEBOL
4. AFC
5. CONCACAF
6. OFC

These are the things that kep me up at night

2012-02-18 09:02:05 AM
Concacaf Starting XI:

4-3-3

Howard

Cherundolo, Marquezc, Bocanegra, Salcido

Donovan, Palacios, Ruiz

Hernandez, Dos Santos, Dempsey

Reserves:
Altidore, Rodriguez, Guardado, Osario, Edu, Vela, Guzan

Strawberry Rumshakes for the morning breakfast, and I'm ready for..................dammit I'm late. Oh well, 'Pool doesn't play until tomorrow.

In other non-FA Cup related news, Ranieri is definitely getting the ax after yesterday, Moratti is not going to let his club get embarrassed like that without chopping someone.

Landon Donovan sick, so no goodbye for him today.

Thomas Ince, former Liverpool reserve striker and son of Paul Ince in the Starting XI.

Happy Bday buddy!

Also, in DC United news, goal keeper Bill Hamid (DCU academy player) and Perry Kitchen (one of the best rookies last year) were called up to the US U23 team. Great news for them and the US, just means they will miss a fair amount of DCU games during qualifying for the Olympics.

I love watching Blackpool play. I hope they come back. They do have a knack for winning playoffs...

Taylor-Fletcher is down and out after a collision with Tim Howard. Too bad.

There's a lot of Liverpool reserves or supporters on Blackpool right now. Interesting.

2012-02-18 10:24:42 AM
Leicester just got boned on that penalty.

2012-02-18 10:24:59 AM
I love Gary Taylor-Fletcher. Dude looks like a chubby 55 year old but started in the Premier league. Awesome.

Kickoff in less than two hours!
We might have enough players to play defense!
Our midfield is playing like the Stevie Wonder Dream Team!
Walcott is sure to get several lovely balls to him today, only to dribble them out of bounds and yell at Arteta!
Which one of our players is going to get hurt today?!
I'd bring up the fact that they'll get hurt because of Sunderland's terrible pitch, but they'd probably just get hurt anyway!
Most importantly, I'm still drunk from the night before and I'm about to pound this beer!
IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR ARSENAL!

Everton look in danger of running away with this one.

Billy Crystal Meth Lab: Which one of our players is going to get hurt today?!

Henry shatters his collarbone on a diving header to tie the game in the '87th a la Adam Branks in The Mighty Ducks, inspiring Van Persie to execute a fatality of biblical vengeance against Sunderland in ET.

Book it. Done.

I think it's the Ox and the Forehead, which would be the name of my bar, on either side of RvP today, so Theo will have time to work on his next children's book.

Henry is sadly back with the Red Bulls. Also, beer number two.

Guys, I'm so sorry

DAVID N'GOG!

That should be the game for Bolton.

Good to see Merseysiders having good days.

Can we please promise to keep this amazing going on during the match?
Also, I've decided to not get a third beer before the match...

...because then it's noon, and that's bloody mary-o'clock!
