New Hampshire may be fickle politically, but they are more libertarian than social conservative and I think these Tea Party folks are in for a rude awakening come election day.

Confession: I only skimmed the article. Your point is correct; but to be honest, I don't have the motivation to try to make irrefutable arguments on things like this.
