RainDawg: T. Dawg: You really care about your married daughters' sex lives?

I care about their health and well-being, which access to contraceptives definitely falls under. I get irritated with the hyper-fems and their "if you don't have a uterus you don't have a say" mentality.

You get a say in ensuring they have access. You don't get a say if you're trying to limit access.

Corvus: Serious GOP farking double down more on this shiat. Women votes are jumping over to Obama like crazy and the only people you are getting are evangelicals who'd never vote for Obama in the first place.

You can't 'double down more'. I wish people would stop using 'double down' so much. Blackjack doesn't work that way. You double down, you get ONE ADDITIONAL CARD AND THEN THE HAND IS OVER. STOP PLAYING BLACKJACK WRONG. THE REST OF YOUR TABLE HATES YOU.

The funny (really, really sad) thing is that the far right thinks that the only people who are offended by this kind of rhetoric are socialists who were going to vote for Obama any way, so GOP officials shouldn't apologize or back peddle and should continue to stand up for this kind of virtue and righteousness.

2012-02-17 04:06:45 PM
James!: Republicans actually believe that people want to hear this shiat from them. They actually believe that they're winning the culture war.

Which is why it'll be interesting to see what happens in November when they lose worse than Mondale did in '84. Will they re-evaluate themselves and form a more moderate party? Or will they double down on the derp?

I'm guessing the latter. "This election proves how America has been corrupted by immoral heathens and we must save it!"

I should buy popcorn futures.

So, the Republican platform seems to be:

Feeding underprivileged children - BAD - GOVERNMENT OVERREACH!!
Telling us who, when, and how we can fark - GOOD!!

Yeah, you guys go with that. I'm sure that will be a winning a strategy. Are you sure you don't want to add a puppy kicking plank?

I need to stop thinking that.

Everybody keeps fighting on this issue, when there's a perfectly reasonable compromise to be made.

Instead of handing out condoms or promoting abstinence, we should be fighting unwanted pregnancies by encouraging facials. No girl ever got pregnant from a shot in the eye.

Ladies, take one for America.

Dear Politicians,
Please stop thinking about, talking about, or writing laws about our body parts, or what we do with said body parts in the privacy of our homes. You sick bastards need to find a new hobby and stop creeping us out. Go home to your own spouses to get off, you pervs.
Maybe work on the economy or something, like you promsed two years ago.
Sincerely,
America

I have some insights to share on this:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA

oh, wow

But seriously, HAHAHAHAH

Also, b*tch, when was the last time you paid for condoms? It really adds up if you have sex more than once a year. Especially if you go non-latex... maybe they're cheaper in America though, I don't know.

It seems like a logical extension of their current MO, "Get louder and more shrill until they cave and then boast victory", but they haven't caught on that it isn't farking working anymore.

Oh God. The derp is justa flowing down there.

Seriously, as I have a second child with a disability that may be genetic and do not want to burden society and the medical system (sorry that's the truth, love him as I do) with the chance of another my husband of 20 years should abstain from sex? So, from the day our son was diagnosed until I hit menopause (which is not always accurate) we would be abstaining for a min of 20 years. Good farking luck keeping the marriage together.

seriously. i used condoms at the start of a new relationship a few months ago (she's now on bc). this was after a very long relationship where my ex used bc.
holy crap that's an expensive habit.
and i feel very, very sorry for adults who don't consider sex an important part of a healthy relationship.

The resolution was introduced last week in the Tea Party-controlled New Hampshire House

New Hampshire may be fickle politically, but they are more libertarian than social conservative and I think these Tea Party folks are in for a rude awakening come election day.

Rapmaster2000: Jeanine Notter

While not at all defending her in the slightest, the study she was citing suggested that the male children of women who take birth control pills are more likely to develop prostate cancer.

Note, "suggested", not definitely caused prostate cancer.

Of course, that doesn't make her any less of an idiot.

2 questions:

1. At what point will some brave GOP female staffer sue her boss for sexual harassment under the "creating a hostile work environment" clause?

2. Can we troll the candidates into making the argument that since sex is for procreation only, we should ban porn as well since that glorifies sex for pleasure?

Then Newt would have to strangle one to death (and not just any puppy, but one of those abused, sad eyed ones they put on those commercials to get people to donate money), just to show he hates puppies the most. Then he would accuse the other two of being soft on puppies.

The mrs and i were talking about this subject this morning. She is a diehard Republican and said there is no way in hell she can vote for any of these tards pushing this type of bs. Before she had to get a partial hysterectomy she needed to be on birth control for mood stabilizing and for other medical reasons. She is furious that these old men (and crazy women) are getting into women issues. If they are pushing a diehard away like my wife, they are going to get curb stomped come Nov. My wife even now begrudgingly likes Obama because of the auto bailouts ( own stock in the big 3 )and his national defense. So keep farking that chicken guys

Which GOP candidate do you imagine would not agree with banning porn? See, running on a banning porn platform isn't controversial amongst voters, and frankly would most likely just receive yawns. But these people are advocating no sex in a marriage, unless it is procreative reasons. They are becoming the anti-sex party. That isn't controversial, that is monumentally stupid. It is a testament to having passed tone-deaf to being deaf, dumb and blind. I never would have thought that one of the only two parties in governance would take up the mantle of ending sex in marriage.

Because if you don't eat french fries, you'll become obese and develop diabetes. Whereas if you use condoms, you'll cause unwanted pregnancies.

To be fair, from the article, she seems to be okay with condoms, just not oral contraceptives. Obviously your point works just the same just replacing the condom part with the pill, but it is best to be accurate when pointing out someone is a moron as it makes your argument harder to refute.

Confession: I only skimmed the article. Your point is correct; but to be honest, I don't have the motivation to try to make irrefutable arguments on things like this. It's sort of like making sure an argument is airtight that humans didn't ride around on dinosaurs, or that oxygen is not made of pork rinds.

Only here for the lulz.

Whoa whoa whoa. Is that not the point of blackjack, to make the table hate you? Forty bucks and I don't care what I win or lose, it's better than any movie date, watching the others around squirm in silent hatred, slowly unraveling from that unspoken and irrational seething hatred that you hit twice AGAIN. Oh god I love that, and you add in the bumbling "I've never done this before huyuck!" while you sit down, oh god. It's divine.
