I'm sorry but anyone that thinks that WorldNetDaily is worth the kilobytes of wasted space in your browser's cache has already ceded too much ground to the armies of fantasyland to be taken seriously.

WND it complete trash. It doesn't help that their central theme of Christian Persecution is warped, but their writing regardless of the subject is trash that wouldn't pass basic, high-school-English-class muster.

Always love the "bb-b-b-b-but FauxNews" stuff here.

Look, its a non-profit funded by millionaires who make a living out of biatching about FOX. They're throwing millions at people who do work at a quality that rarely comes up to the level of hobby political bloggers.

They're useful idiots for standard-issue DNC interests, and expensive ones at that. Mock FoxNews all you want, they deserve plenty, but stop pretending that MediaMatters is anything more than well-connected PR flacks who are anything better than Newsbusters.

/Watches more PressTV, Russia Today, Telesur and Al-Jazeera than FOXNews.
//None of the major Cable Networks deserve your attention. Take NPR instead, even if it is with a gain of salt.

When it is a non-profit and gets indirect or direct taxpayers dollars? Sure. How would you feel about a non-profit whose sole mission was to take down NPR?

I especially like the anti-gun message and taking $400,000 in anti-gun money when the head of Media Matters has an armed bodyguard at all times.

Bottom line is, you would freak if this was done to your side, but make excuses when it is against the right, or the perceived evil Fox News. I can't believe even Farkers think taxpayer money should be used to fund political agendas. If Bush did it, you would be soiling yourselves with Anger. Democrats do it and it is awesome? Come on. Grow up. You guys think people should be forced to join a union, and forced to provide union dues to support Democratic politicians, regardless if you want to or not. That is as un-American as it gets.

No, I don't. I don't think that at all. Sorry if I don't fit your caricature of a lib'rul. I do think FOX News is the journalistic equivalent of AIDS, though. So I'm probably still stupid or evil or something. . . .

You are stupid in this case. There have been plenty of studies about bias in the media. Fox is very close to center, a hair right. Most outlets are quite a bit out in left field. You are so used to the left wing media telling you how America is evil, capitalism is the Devil, and Bush eats babies that you think the truth is right wing. Well, good. Fox makes mistakes, of course it does. So do other media outlets.

Remember, Obama himself tried to get Fox kicked out of the press covering him. It took other media outlets to tell him no way buddy. We get it, Fox does not campaign for Obama and the Democrats. You hate them. Oh well.

Dude. It's one thing to defend legitimate conservative thought. It's quite another to defend the tripe in the World Net Daily.
You are coming off like an idiot, because you are attempting to defend the indefensible This has nothing to do with Fox or CSN or any of the other remotely mainstream media - this is a tinfoil-hat tabloid publication.
Save your ammo to defend legitimate conservative journalism - this isn't it.

THISTHISTHIS

Fox News only sin is that it presents the right wing side to the news, while the entire rest of the media are leftist hacks. It REALLY pises them off that they had their little leftist propaganda machine running nice and smoothly and steering the American public to their views (who can forget that epic CBS news anti-hunting special, "The Guns of Autumm"), then Fox news pops up and throws a wrench in the machine.

Diversity of opinion is a biatch, man.....

First off- I'm Canadian, so you guys can fark each other in the ear all you like. I'm just a spectator. You don't know me, where I'm from, what my sass factor is.

Secondly- you talk about Bush doing it, like somehow Soros/Media Matters/MoveOn.org/Acorn equals the Democratic Party. It's not, any more than the Kochs are now the official funders of Republican interests. Wanna talk about the political interests of tax-free churches? This is not an argument that will work in your favour.

Thirdly- Is it acceptable? Of course it is, for you. You've declared at both the legislative and judicial level that democracy in America is for sale, no limits and no rules to it. And I don't feel anger. Pity, maybe. Schadenfreude, definitely, since the people that argued most vociferously for this monetized and bastardized freedom of expression are getting bit in the ass by it.

Apparently, I'll just have to tough it out here in yet another crumbling socialist experiment with a stable banking system, manageable debt, sensible limits on money in politics, and a sunny future, provided we don't get sucked into the vortex by the geographical virtue of sitting on the edge of the toilet bowl.

But you keep telling me how the world works, would you? I can see its working out really well for you.

Thunderpipes: How would you feel about a non-profit whose sole mission was to take down NPR?

I'm sorry, but I have to ask this...

Do you really believe that NPR is a Left Wing political news organization?

If you don't, there is no comparison to be had here, and your question is irrelevant.

If you do, you're grossly misinformed. The only thing "Left" about NPR is that they're Pro-Education and report things based on reality. They largely stay out of Political reporting, and when they do they actually present both sides equally. They're about as fair and unbiased as you can possibly be.

As a Registered Republican, please stop staying stupid shiat like this. You make the rest of us look like assholes and it overshadows legitimate issues.

This is the right wing projecting its own defects onto the left (or really, the center). Fox News, the Tea Party, WorldNet Daily, and all the GOP presidential candidacies are the pet projects of a handful of right-wing billionaires. Pretty much the whole right wing is financed by these creeps*.

*Rupert Murdoch, Koch Bros., Rev. Sun Myung Moon, Sheldon Adelson and Foster Friess, respectively.

Oh there are others. All of them with more money than most people will see in several lifetimes dedicated to imposing their, er, rather eccentric views on the rest of us who have no choice but to live in the real world.

I hate the Right because they are racist, sexist, fascist religious fanatic nut bags that want to repress women, bring back draconian worker conditions, put in place a new ruling elite, trash the environment, kill or enslave poor people here in America and around the world.

But I think back to the times when the Left was in power and I hated them because they were racist, sexist, PC fanatic nut bags that repressed men and seemed to want to bring back the stone ages because we were 'in harmony with nature' or some stupid thing.

I need another option.

The idea of fearing a biased media is predicated on the idea that one can be an unbiased viewer, which is impossible for a conscious being. This whole concept of unbiased media rests on a false pretense.
