This is Gandalf. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday.

I got him from the humane society in September 1994, he reached through the cage and played with my (then) long hair. I didn't choose him, he chose me.

www.industrial-video.com

He lived through 17 and a half years of sometimes being fed a bowl of treats because daddy forgot to buy food. He was a great big brother to his best feline pal, Pixel.

www.industrial-video.com

He lasted 4 months after being diagnosed with Lymphoma. He was 4 months from his 18th birthday. It hurt me so bad to tell him it was OK to let go, and it was time to chase butterflys on the other side. It hurt me, but he feels no pain anymore.

Goodbye old friend. You truly were the best friend I ever had, and the best thing that happened to me. I'll see you again soon enough.

Beautiful kitty...sorry he's gone. I can appreciate how a cat can find you rather than the other way around. My GF lost her best friend/kitty last year. She showed up one day on her doorstep and was the most amazing cat I've ever been around.

Biscuit news:
We just received the morning update from the vet tech. He's doing fine but hasn't eaten anything yet. I'm not too surprised. It's the first time he's been away from home for any period and it hasn't been a pleasant experience. We're going down there armed with baby food, yogurt and vanilla pudding (aka "The Nuclear Option"). He'll probably eat for us once he settles down. If we still don't get any results she said we can take him home or leave him there until he eats. She said she has been snuggling with him and he's been purring and really laying on the charm.

As long as he's well hydrated I I'd like to bring him home. I think he'll be more likely to start eating here. Truthfully I don't think I'd want to eat so soon after all that. We'll see...

Gotta post and run this week. Mrs. Moose is taking medication where she can't nurse Baby Moose, I'm on call and have to go to work in a bit, and Little Moose is being bonkers. I just wanted to pop in and say "Hello." And to give a big "Thank You!!!" to The Puce Guardian for last week's plasmabear. I didn't get back to the thread in time to say that last week. Have a good weekend, everybody!

The article isn't talking about the Denver airport, but the much smaller, and a whole lot less creepy one in Broomfield. If it were the Denver airport, i.e. Denver International, they would have stuffed the cat, painted it blue and posed it with an AK-47 in front of baggage carousel.

Does that formula really work? I am just waiting for Buddy to be christened by a skunk, we have had sooo many very close calls but have been lucky so far. Good to have a plan just in case. :)

Yes, it works great. We had two Huskies soaked by a skunk. Cleaned them up with that magic potion and they were back in the house within an hour. Not 100% skunk free, but definitely tolerable.

Hai guys. I have a heavy heart this Caturday. My beloved nephew and godson Noah passed away on Wednesday. He took his own life; we have no idea why as from all outward appearances, he was a happy, sweet 13 year old boy. It hurts to say that's how he passed, but I feel so numb and am still in disbelief that saying it makes it feel more "real," if that makes any sense.

Noah and I were always especially close, as he was born when I was only 11 years old (my brothers are all ~twice my age). When he was a baby my mom would watch him for my brother and sister-in-law, so I spent every day playing with him after school. As he got older, I saw him less as I was away at college but I always loved when he was at my parents' when I visited home. This summer my fiance and I were actually going to move close to where Noah lives and I was so excited to get to spend more time with him. Especially as he was going to turn 14, I wanted to do what my dad did for me when I was his age: take him to an empty parking lot & teach him how to drive, so that when he started driver's ed, he would (sort of) know what he was doing.

A picture of Noah with Mufasa, when Noah was only 9 and Mufasa was less than a year old. This picture cracks me up because it looks like Moof is sticking his tongue out. He was probably trying to say "Moooooom, Noah always tries to tickle my belly when we play and puts the red dot on the ceiling where I can't get it, I'm not playing nice for a picture with him!"

*hug* I am sorry for your loss. I'm sending love and healing vibes your way.

Sometimes it's the happiest looking ones among us that have a darkest thoughts. While on the outside I looked happy in high school I almost committed suicide. My family life was horrible, I was fat and couldn't get a date to save my life, working almost a full time job, and going to school at the same time, it was the most stressful and darkest period of my life.

*hug*
