yobbery: sherpa18: Only YOU know what is normal for them. If you sense that something is wrong, don't hesitate - take them to the vet. You may just be saving their life. THIS, THIS, and furthermore THIS! Any vet worth his or her salt will also tell you the same thing.

I knew that you agree - and yes, while most vets will tell you the same thing, the majority of people tend to be reluctant to act not only about their pets, but about their own health... seriously people, if you even suspect that something is not quite right with your furrball or yourself - don't wait until it might be to late ... get help!. Better safe than sorry.

No, I have sprained my ankle nearly every year actually for close to 54 years. Sorry about that. Actually only broke it once. That was enough. The fracture actually hurt a lot more than the sprains. I was chanting the "f" word up until the nurse gave me the morphine shot. I was afraid that I had used up my lifetime supply of the "f" word, but a friend said that he had a bunch I could use because he would never use up his allotment.

yobbery: L33t Squirrel: CrankyAndi: The doggie is Hoover. I changed his name. Mikey wasn't right. Hoover is. The other dog is now named Dyson.

For small dogs, those names are quite appropriate. Whenever the dogs were in the kitchen, snuffling about for scraps and dropped food, my step-mom called it "barkuming." :)

Also, hurrah to hear that it was only a hairball and nothing else that plagued Biscuit! I guess that you can still continue to have jawbreakers, yes?

Not for long....I'm having a bone cyst extracted (excavated?, drilled out?) from my jaw next Friday morning. So I'll be a drugged out jaw breaker-less mess next caturday.

Yobbery: Great to hear that Bisquit is going to be fine. I guess he'll have to start getting some sort of lube to help with those hairballs. My Sadie solves that problem by horking them up at regular intervals; usually on my dining room chairs. Ick.

Sickapie: OUCH! Sorry to hear about the ankle; that sucks! Cats are SO dangerous. My daughter tripped over one of ours while running to answer the door, and ended up cracking a bone in her forearm (about 12-13 years ago).

Cool! I was always going out with other people in high school so we didn't go out until 6 months after we graduated. Knew on our second date we would be getting married, but figured we should get to know each other better first.

Mine was in 2009, assuming that they actually held one. I, nor any of my friends with whom I stay in touch, got any notification of any kind, so I assume that nothing happened. Besides, like most of you, I'm still talking to those I want to talk to! ...Or they found me on FB years later, and I replied to their invites weeks later. (It's a hideous site and I limit my exposure. Besides, there's nothing there I want or need.) Though I admit that the hubby and I might be interested in a 20- or 25-year reunion, just to gloat: "Hi, remember me? I'm Major Squirrel, U.S. Army, and this is my husband, Doctor Squirrel, P.H.D." :D

Now that the boys have discovered The Great Outdoors, they're supplementing their diet of kibble with the backyard lawn. This works out because they end up barfing it up out there later on, preventing hairballs and stuff. They already loved the kitty-grass that we bought for them when they were indoor-only, so it was sorta natural when we moved. Though I swear that Sonny is half-sheep with how he effing DEVOURED the grass-pots. Case in point, pics of grass a half-hour after we brought it home, and a full hour:

It was hilarious watching them go at it from either side at the same time. Silly boys!

Aww, that's sweet. Congratulations!

Yeah, pretty much anyone from high school I remotely cared to stay in contact with is on my Facebook. Most of my friends were a year or two older or younger than me so I wouldn't see them at a reunion anyway. And all my favourite teachers are sadly deceased. :( So, screw it.

A good success story though, my high school sweetheart, a nerdy computer genius who had the shiat beaten out of him on a regular basis by big mean stupid students, now lives in California and makes 6 figures a year programming for Apple. He has a great wife and 2 fantastic little kids. We still talk to each other every now and then. I am proud to be able to call him my friend. :)

This was our cat Sparky, who I last heard still lives with his mom in a nice rural area nearby. Sparky will be pushing 20 by now! She was (and probably still is) a good girl.

BIG Mama Bear HUGS and Warm Healing Loving Thoughts going out to Alien and Everyone else Not Feeling Up to Par Purr this Caturday Weekend! Scritches for Biscuit and hoping that all went well with his surgery!

My Last Kitteh BlackJack got an obstruction that was combination Hairball and Carpet Fibers from Brand New Apt Complex Rugs. He didn't have to have surgery but it took a full week of enemas and ipicac to get rid of the golfball size mass...Needless to say he was Not Fond of going to the Vet or even getting in the Pet Carrier after that...He was a Free Kitteh, but by the end of the first year cost me over $1K in Vet Bills! However after that Monster Hairball I had the Pleasure of his company for another 12 years after that:)
