Am on the west coast but we've not seen a drop off in people eating out...Hotel's are barren, airports are empty but resturants seem just as full if not more so. So maybe they have a case in the high end resturant supply, but in reality, I think they are just using this to right of some debts. How does the climate seem on the east coast ?

The green does taste different and it sucks on Sept. 11 and every other day too.

Another person here who uses the green ketchup. I'd be using the purple, but we don't seem to have that here. =^) Tastes the same as regular ketchup, only it is green. ONLY difference. I find it really interesting that a lot of people either think it tastes different, or won't touch it at ALL simply because of the color. I have a friend who said he was going to throw up while I was eating fries with it because of the color. It is amazing how the color of something can affect the way we thinkg about it so much. Or, like, when you are about to drink something that you think is one thing, you take a sip, and it is actually another, and it tastes like the worst liquid in the world to you. It could be something we love to drink, but because our brain expected something else, the taste seems almost horrible because of the shock.

The FDA says the "green ketchup" can't technically be called ketchup because the rules say that ketchup is red. Look on the labels next time you're at the store, it won't say "KETCHUP" anywhere except the ingredients. "Ketchup (stuff ketchup is made of goes here) and green food coloring #89"

I actually found the green stuff tasted differently, don't know if it's psychological or what, but last St. Patrick's day I was eating at my friends house, and his mom forced us to have the green ketchup on everything. I could barely finish my first hot dog, it just wasn't right. We found a bottle of the 'normal' stuff and took off downstairs, thank god.
