It always amuses me when children or grand children are shocked that grandma or grandpa managed to a venereal disease in the old folks home. Just cause they are old they are not dead you ungrateful brats.

I vaguely remember an old Fark story about the difficulties of gay folks in retirement homes. One woman mentioned she was a lesbian and the old broad she was talking to flat out stood up from the table and left, which was supposedly pretty common. Glad to see things are getting a bit easier for them.

Great story. It's fantastic there are starting to be more welcoming places. People deserve to be happy and accepted at all stages of life.

Most fo the older gay people I've known, don't give a flying fark what anyone thinks about them. They've put up with the BS their entire lives and are pretty thick-skinned.

I'd love to work in a LBGT (sp?) retirement home. The stories would fill several books. And they'd be the most sordid, kinky stuff as well.

I can imagine all the repressed sexual expoits at the start of their sex lives and the 'normal' sex they had to conform with, and then after the kids and then retirement, it's 'Hello, Boys and Girls. Let's get faaabulous.'
