Sorry to say it but for the most part interracial couples tend to make good looking kids (depending of course on the mix).

I get nervous when a society seems to be all in agreement on what is right. Dissent can spur change, and it can also highlight a need to not change something.Really, it's only a problem when either A) People turn violent when society disagrees with them or B) People get the government involved.

It never really occurred to me to even think of my marriage as interracial. Race just isn't something I think about when evaluating people in my life.

Of Jews I know (socialize with or through work - all of them being college educated) around half are in mixed marriages. This perception could be way off because more traditional Jews probably would avoid socializing with me.

Some might consider this definition good or bad because it allows "medical professionals in the US" to be called a race - medical professionals are more likely to marry medical professionals than are members of the general population and their children are more likely to become members of the profession than the general population.

Read up on the history of white supremacy in America. It's not exactly the same thing as racism. And yes, it's because we used white as the benchmark for "normal." This, fortunately, is fading away.

Last time I checked Judaism was a religion not a race. Especially in the north eastern US, its sad that being Jewish is more of a status symbol than an exercise in religion (there are exceptions of course). Hold up a picture of a Jewish person to someone and ask what race they are and the answer will be "white", not Jewish.

I love my wife but I do sort of wish she was Asian. But cool Asian, like Indonesian or Malaysian or Singaporean, not mainstream boring Asian like Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. I'd feel hipper.
