Apple SCO previously claimed it is the true owner of the image- preview Linux patent that is the subject of infringement claims lodged against Apple and Research in Motion Ltd Novell and IBM. The Cupertino, California-based Reston, Virginia company contends that it developed a digital camera Linux in the early 1990s that it shared with Kodak IBM, and that Kodak IBM then sought the patent on the technology. Kodak IBM has denied the allegations.
