Not any worse than a cannonball through the side of the house.
Except the part about the guy being in the car at the time.

Everyone wants 3 bars and up on their cell phones. No one wants a tower within a mile of their homes. One I see every time I visit the family:

Clearly we must stop these rampaging hordes of delinquent cell phone towers before more harm is done to innocent civilians.

I think it's because of the hue, it immediately made me think of Hoth, the grey of the tower the legs of AT-AT and AT-ST

/Also has migraines.
//Must be the cell towers causing them.

That's why all cell phone towers should look like a giant penis.

You're driving down the road and you see a giant penis ... you're like "Whoa it's a giant penis, I better be careful!"

A cell phone tower in my area is disguised as a brick chimney and is not obviously fake. That style might be less inconspicuous in Florida.

I'd think a lot of things if I was driving down the road and saw a giant penis, but "Whoa, it's a giant penis, I better be careful!" wouldn't be one of them.

Unless I was in Nevada and then I'd think, Whoa, it's a giant penis, I hope there's a giant condom somewhere nearby so we both can be careful!

Why make the fronds out of metal? Unless their somehow functional wouldn't it make more sense to use plastic?

Call me irrational, but why are so many areas so against standard cell phone towers? I personally think standard cell phone towers quietly mix in the background of many typical parts of the US better than redesigned fat flag poles and overgrown fake christmas trees.

I get it if it is a national forest or historic areas of Boston. Too often they are just normal areas of the US where big box warehouse style stores, factories and industrial complexes are what is the existing look for the United States. We are a young country where function is more important than appearance in most places. Nothing is wrong with that.

Then what is the problem with a few metal towers?

fusillade762: Why make the fronds out of metal? Unless their somehow functional wouldn't it make more sense to use plastic?

I was thinking the same thing, and I suppose its mostly because it makes the fronds themselves more durable, but it also means the attachment points have to be stronger as well, and if one falls off it is, as seen in the video, much more dangerous.
In high winds, plastic fronds might just blow apart or splinter (depending on if its soft or rigid plastic) or they might just split along the attachment and fall off more often.

It's hard to find a free acre for a tall tower with guy wires in a city. Most cities have airports and that also limits the heights in certain areas. There are actual towers in my area that are only about 60 feet tall... pretty much every commercial structure in the area has a couple cell transmitters on the roof. They just the telephone poles of the times.

Why would you disguise a cell tower to look like a palm tree in El Paso, TX?

2012-02-14 07:47:08 PM
The cell towers are being disguised so that when the NWO takes over we won't be able to take out their communications systems. Same with the disguised oil rigs. Ever notice how there are no cell towers near FEMA camps? Hmm....

Because the giant phalluses and articulated clowns haven't gone through R & D yet.

I hope everyone in here understands that many churches and even schools rent out space for local cell phone towers.

migueldelascervezas ,Why would you disguise a cell tower to look like a palm tree in El Paso, TX?

GIS for 'cell phone tree tower'. Some may be better than others, but some are double-bag ugly. I mean take an antenna way larger than others in the treeline, stick branches on the top 20%, and call it a 'low profile tower'. I am guessing these may be the low bid jobs.

If we are going to do badly done artifical things, why not make them fun, like art work. Palm trees in Michigan. An Egyptian obelisk in LA or MIami.

Yes it would attract attention and people would hate it, but any worse than some of those ugly-ass fake trees which in my opinion make nature ugly and artifical. They destroy the integrity of which they pretend to preserve.

I pretty much figured that, with you, you could be in the deepest vacuum of space and it would be, boom, voices in your head. And still saying the same thing:

"STOP PLAYING WITH YOURSELF!"
