I wouldn't call "Sorry, wrong car" as being much in the way of an apology, but maybe that's just me.

Well, it's the thought that counts

/if that counts as thought

Somehow, this doesn't strike me as an odd occurrence in New Orleans. People are very friendly there.

Plus, this is the kind of thing that could happen to anyone. It's very difficult to aim and drive at the same time.

The apology should have been more

"He's shot out the back window"

"Sorry, sorry. See what I mean, I just get carried away. I really must -- sorry, sorry! Sorry, everyone."

From a felon mid crime?

That's a damn upright thing to do. He risked his life and freedom to say that.

I'm assuming it was a man. Women angry enough to have a gun battle on the freeway wouldn't stop until they destroyed their enemy and their car utterly and scattered the parts around and sowed the ground with rock salt.

That boy was raised right, in the wrong place.
He must've been all "Aw, who dat? Oops!"
Shame he didn't move to Houston in 2005. What a thoughtful G.

It's so hard to meet white women these days.

I hate it when that happens. I usually send a note within 5 days.

He pulled over and actually got out of his vehicle to tell them "Sorry". They must've been terrified. Not only had he shot out their window, but he actually stopped and was walking toward them.

He's lucky that they didn't shoot him.

Prof Honeybone: It's so hard to meet white women these days.

Honestly, when I read the article, I thought it was such a sweet Valentine's Day "meet-cute", that I was already taking the safety off my 45.

It's right there in the driver's manual -- whenever someone shoots out your window, pull over to the shoulder and exchange insurance information.

Late one morning in the middle of the night, two dead cars got up to fight.

Strange things.

I would have let him ride. Not my business. Obviously he wasn't going around shooting random people if he was stopping to say sorry.

/Plus i don't want to piss off anyone who shoots at people.

Well people have been saying for decades that if people carry guns, there will be gun battles between drivers in the streets. I guess it was only a matter of time before it actually happened one time. And it only took about 20-30 years to finally happen.

Nothing new to see here. We used to get the 'gangsta's' driving up on the Charity Hospital ER ramp every other night. Can't tell you how many times our ER ramp was taped off as a 'crime scene'. On summer weekends, we sometimes get 3 or more ambulances in a row, all with GSW's. I can remember sometimes as many as 12-15 major trauma activations in a single shift just for shootings. Cars all shot up, drivers and passengers all shot up. Guess it must still go on to some degree at University Hospital. I worked the graveyard 7p-7a shift, my friends referred to Charity ER as the 'New Orleans Gun & Knife Club'. Google it if you doubt my veracity.

Here's a picture of patient evacuations on our ER ramp about 7 days after Katrina.

he got out to finish them, but realized it was the wrong car. hence the stop, and the quick, unplanned apology. He needed to finish them anyway at that point, as they reported his plate anyway.

I don't believe in reincarnation, but if I did, I would think it was possible that this gentleman was Don Quixote in a former life. (of course DQ was ficticious but if you believe in reincarnation your're likely to believe other fiction is reality too.)
